As of the 27th, I am now 38, right in that meaty area somewhere between "BAAAHH, yer still a damn kid! *cough hack*" and "OMG you're so OLD! I'd rather kill myself than be that ancient!". My birthday always falls somewhere around (American) Thanksgiving. This year it's on frantic holiday shopping consumption-fest "black friday". I'm glad to not hear about any bargain-seeking shoppers trampled to death on my birthday (so far) - that would have been a bit of a downer.
Regarding the "Damn, yer old!" side of things, it's a little scary to think that my first Amiga animations as well as my first drawings of Amy the Squirrel - the first things to put me 'on the map' in terms of being known beyond my own immediate area - come from 1989 ... twenty years ago. It puts things into perspective looking at all that has changed, next to all the stuff that barely changed at all in a couple decades.
It'll happen to YOU!!
Oh, and I got Legos for my birthday.

I'm slowly getting in age myself. It's always wierd looking back at dates or events and realizing those were 5-10 years back nowadays. I imagine it will be even wierder for me when I do get back to looking at them when they are 20.
But anyways, happy birthday! I shall have to draw you sometheeeeeeeeeng. Once I figure out what would be good to draw.

Oh, man, the floppy copy. It's been so long since you could just buy a storage device and load it up with free software in the store (as well as pull games off the shelf and try them on the spot). I kinda miss those days.

She once said to someone that her husband's head constantly is off to toon town, laughing - and she was right, it is! No matter how dark the day was, pouring snowy rain on the city, that guy always spread good mood, and you'd expect that anytime soon he would say "MEEP MEEP!", step asside in a quick movement, only leaving a cloud of smoke in the shape of his silhouette, just before a piano impacts at the place he was just standing.
Tell you what: This guy gets a hundret and twenty years old, only because of that his mind is off to toon town, like his wife said. And even if he will then look like 120 years old, he will not appear like 120 years old, because of this. As long as his mind is still all anvils and dynamite, and he can hold a pencil, this guy will be alive and kicking as if he was 20 years old. This is something that alot of us traditional cartoon folks seem to have, and you too.
How old you will ever be, you will always have Amy, Sabrina and Zig standing on a roof top with a piano while Eric the cat walks by below, with Amy shrugging "Ya know, it is for his own good!", while they are starting to push it off the edge. And guess what - she is right
So don't worry about the big "4" in your age, you will not feel any different on the inside than when the big nasty "3" appeared. Have a great day, let Zig give you your birthday present, and enjoy your big day, ok?

In a little over a month, I'll be turning 30 myself. I know the feeling of being thought of as "old". Hell, today's kids consider anyone 25+ to be "old".

I turn 60 next month. That is a downer, it means that I am officially an "Old Fart".
Oh, well, at least I'm still alive and kicking.
I remember when a friend turned 38. The ladies at work made him a cake that said "38 and Holding". Three guesses what he was holding, and the first two don't count. (there was a hand and two boobs made out of marzipan ...)
Anyway, Happy Birthday to one of my favorite artists. You're the one that got me interested in furry, about 15-16 years ago.

I remember seeing an advertisement in an Amiga magazine of an image CD with Amy posing provocatively in a red dress. I think that was my first taste of hot furries. That was years before the internet became mainstream.
