Dayton Duke Doggo medical update
After lots of calling and running around, Duke finally has a date set for knee surgery to address his torn cruciate ligament - October 30th. The operation will cost somewhere around $5000. (maybe less, maybe more depending on the circumstances)
I'm reminded of a late-night joke I saw once that went something like "A woman paid $12,000 for the first-ever 'total hip replacement' operation for her cat, which is a little under $12,000 more than a less-expensive procedure, 'total cat replacement'. " This is definitely a pricey, not to mention risky, thing to do, but I knew from the outset that I had to try, no matter the hardship. After all, Duke didn't ask for what happened to him.
My biggest thanks to all of you who already donated to his medical fund, and If any of you out there should feel like contributing, or contributing more, you would my deepest appreciation, as well as Duke's.
