Writing a book
I need some ideas of what to do for the 2-5 people who will probably even read this.
I have basically finished writing a book. It's about 160k words long at this point, and to get it professionally edited entirely will cost me about 10k. What should I do? Any ideas would be great. I can afford it to some degree, but it would have to come in slower steps instead of all at once (for those who do not know, there are different steps you pay for, and I can do them one at a time if I have too)
I'm down to editing and revising the parts myself with the help of a friend who is reading through it, telling me what he feels should be changed, and looking for any mistakes I might have missed.
To summarize, for anyone who is curious, in a single sentence. I can say the story is about a dragon trying to overcome the curse of Bahamut. It's a dark fantasy, with much more story to tell past the first book. If it's not too spoiler-heavy, I can answer any questions anyone might have. The story is dragon-based and has no humans in it, so it's not one of the millions of dragon rider-type books out there. I guess you could say it is closer to something like Wings of Fire for adults. I'm not sure what else to put since this mainly was asking for what other people would want or do in this situation.
