KFP4 reaction

This appears to be a legit trailer. So here we go:
So... First reaction: Holy shit.
One of DreamWorks's most recurring mistakes, including which was made with the third movie, IMO, is feeling like they need to cap it at a trilogy. Consequently, the middle installments tend to be their best. They introduced the concept with the first, took everything great about the first and dialed it up to eleven with the second, and then brought it back in to a satisfying yet predictable conclusion.
Don't get me wrong, HTTYD3 and KFP3 were both great movies. But neither one holds a candle to HTTYD2 and KFP2. And in both cases, it felt (to me, at least) like they were compelled to make the third one the last and to wind it down rather than dialing it up.
This looks like somebody screamed "Fuck that!" and dialed it all right back up to eleven again, if not even further. Bigger action, darker themes, an orchestral "Seven Nation Army" cover, and a villain that could very well be the stuff of nightmares.
It almost looks at times like they weren't concerning themselves with whether they got the PG-13 rating. Mind you, I don't think they actually got it, but given that the first KFP movie came out fifteen years ago, I do think it would be smarter on their part to keep it just under the PG-13 rating as opposed to blatantly pushing it over the PG line like all the other animation studios keep doing. And there's very little doubt that one of the greatest triumphs of PIB:TLW was with the way the handled Death, so it wouldn't surprise me all that much if somebody at the company declared that menacing nightmare fuel villains were going to be their new company standard.
Oh yeah, and they're bringing back Tai Lung. Which, if you've read my list or browsed my gallery, you can probably guess I had a little bit of a fangasm over.
(long awkward pause)
And I predict much Rule 34 for Zhen.
(deep breath) Please, Jaguar Jesus, let this be good. For the sake of the franchise, and to light a fire under Disney's ass before they can screw up Zootopia 2.
