Howdy furries, it's time for the 6th annual music journal! What were y'all listening to in 2023? Stuff that came out in 2023, old stuff you recently found, whatever you wanna throw in here! (I'll gradually check out everything but I may be bad at replying!!)

Vylet Pony's Carousel is maybe my favorite full album of 2023, but Constellation Cradle is absolutely my favorite song of 2023. popping the fuck off for the chorus no matter how many times I hear it.

Dog Weekend - Rituals (epilepsy warning: flashing lights/strobe effects)
reject humanity. become dog. Can't wait to hear more Dog Weekend tracks, I hope they put up more than just Rituals in 2024!

Starting about 20 minutes into this TECHDOG 7 track until the end is my Patricia Taxxon sleeper pick (especially 22min in). Her use of vocal chopping often makes for my favorite tracks of hers, and I almost missed this one with it being so deep into the TECHDOGs, well past where I was ready to write it off as not being music for me!

Circus-P's CMYK is a real big vocaloid album with a lot of tracks I like, but Better Off Worse has gotta be my fave and I really dig that the music video goes above and beyond with the youtube captions. Very cool to see so much care put into making banger captions within the limits of that caption system. Circus-P is also just one of my top listened to artists since like 2017, past time to throw one of their albums in one of these journals lmao

Aviators - Want to be Hunted is one of two songs that directly inspired me to doodle something so it's gotta be here haha. I continue to be a fan of when Aviators makes tracks about rivals locked in combat that are definitely gonna fuck

nelward - GHOST isn't from 2023 but I got really into nelward again this year and made a Cantio doodle about GHOST! Nothing else hits like nelward when I'm in the nelward mood.
