I hate that too; I just flip it over (I am assuming this is the macaroni portion; those are always supposed to be stirred frozen somehow)

That's certainly an interesting solution. I just jab it aggressively with my fork to break it apart enough that I can kind of stir it, and call it good enough.

I do that too at times especially if it's still mostly ice. Happens way too often now that I think about it.

*snicker* I know this all too well. I always ended up cooking it a bit longer than "they recommended" just for that reason. Can't easily stir frozen macaroni or frozen vegetables, sure this method sometimes burnt certain other food in the tray ("RIP Chicken Strips!" =w=;) but I'd rather eat slightly burnt than frozen, at least its "cooked." *kneads Aster's bare backside*

I'll definitely take overcooked instead of undercooked. I, too, would rather it be done.

To be fair, depending on your microwave, those cooking times do vary. the one in my kitchen is a 1100 watts while the one in my gaming room is 700 watts so in my case, I have TWO different times to adjust to. the lower watts one is really just for reheating to be honest, I mainly use the one in the kitchen. ^^;

It's the biggest inconvenience of microwaves.

I usually add 20 sec to the first step if that's the case next time I do it. Hell, sometimes I just put it in for the whole amount then stir and cool lol

I also often add a bit of extra time. Especially if it's something I've cooked many times, and I get a feel for how long it actually should take in my microwave.
