Thoughts about MatPat's latest video (Goodbye Internet)
Hey there! ^.=.^
I don't remember exactly when I started watching his videos, but, if I remember good, it was before he created The Film Theorists channel. Maybe he was the first not hungarian youtuber, that I started to follow regularry.
I wasn't much of a lore addict back then. But he and his videos opened my eyes towards new worlds. Simply he made me love lore. And I always, every week waited for his new videos, watched some of his older videos multiple times. He had such a big impact in my life.
Back when I started creating stories (lore) for my character(s), I already knew him, and thanks to him showing me the love towards lore, I started writing stories. But not only that, no. I started searching for lore in games, in books, basically in anything. And making my own tiny theories, even if I never shared any.
His enthusiasm towards basically anything was and is so inspirating for me, and not only for me. And he showed that in his goodbye video (but not the last, since there will be 9 more videos with him on The Game Theorists), he heard lots of other creators saying his famous phrase or it's shorter version, that they also got inspired by him in a way.
It's always hard to write everything down, that's going on in my mind, and not only because I'm still under the shock of his passing off the torch. But I know I'll miss him from his usual couch with his usual red jacket and his famous closing phrase: "But remember: It's just a theory, a game theory."
Thanks for reading.
