Things I Might Do (Probably) at Various Points in 2024

Hello, esteemed observer. It’s time for me to reveal my intentions for the year so you can look back upon them and take note of all the things I didn’t do. Last year those were:
- Learn To Use My Fucking Tablet
o I used my tablet to draw exactly one picture since the 2023 roadmap, and I’m pretty sure it’s been sitting in its box since January 12th, 2023.
- Redesign My Logo
o I did make some use out of my princess’s redesign, but hardly any. I’d still like to draw her more, eventually. And she kind of got redesigned again anyway because I think she’s cuter chubby.
o The girl, gamer and little sister will probably also come back one day in some form. Maybe a boy next time.
o The deer doesn’t need to come back. Sorry, furries.
- My Idea That Glowed in the Dark
o Given that I don’t draw enough to get through all my ideas with my existing characters, adding another to the mix is somewhat foolish (I still made Poptart, though). Maybe I’ll use her one day, but the concept was sort of like a Minority Report precog somewhere between the book and movie’s general level of functioning. A dumb baby (adult) whose fingerpaintings are sorted on fridges of varying levels of secrecy (or covered in black ink to protect state secrets). Her every move interpreted by analysts to determine their significance in relation to future events. And of course, mommies of the scientist and government handler varieties. Steal the concept if you want.
- The Angry Bunny-Themed Girl
o It didn’t feel like there was much interest in me revisiting old pictures, so it got folded into The List. I thought people would have wanted me to try my hand at older pictures considering how much my art style has changed from the early stuff, but I guess that just goes to show people aren’t that interested in how well I actually draw and it’s more about the ideas presented.
- Heart of the Cards
o People didn’t care much about the League of Legends one, and I figured people weren’t going to be too into doing the same for Yu-Gi-Oh, no matter how many waifus there are to pick from.
Really, the only things I said I’d do and did were the Twisted Treeline requests, not doing commissions, and the undefined fourth thing that turned out to be Duh-cember, which I’ll count as audience participation since it was a community event.
Anyway, here are the things I’ll definitely do for real this year, probably (maybe):
- Teas and Cinnamons (Very Dumb)
o I am still in a particular mood. Fuck you, it’s January.
- Leftover Halloween Yordle Comic
o I have a comic I started drawing back around Halloween with the whole gang together for one big jamboree. Uncharacteristically, I never finished it and should get around to it.
- Edits (For Cowards)
o I was meaning to do some diaper alts for Duh-cember’s panty messing pictures and maybe a Bocchi that isn’t vibrating into another dimension.
- The List 2 + Survey
o Given that I have a second list of ideas that I either forgot to poll the first time or came up with after making the original list, I’m repolling the whole thing to see what you people crave. Will I then subsequently adhere to the results to determine what to draw and in what order? No. I might try a yes/no approach this time instead of a 1-5 scale, but the people who fill out my surveys are probably the kind of people who would say yes to everything.
- Annual Q&A
o April 29th, as always.
- Finish Ongoing Things
o I have a few ongoing arcs, mostly involving Tea and Cinnamon, that are completely unrelated to one another and need to be resolved at some point. Will Tea ever escape Pretty Kitty Jail? What happened to them in the straight AU where Tea worked at Claire’s? Why did I start a third one of these where they’ve both been reduced to baby-brained dumb dumbs? Also, there’s the one with Bun and Imp also being made really dumb that I had a few follow-ups in mind for. And yes, to the one Lux story enjoyer, I need to get to that too.
- AU-gust
o In the recent Duh-cember survey, somebody suggested AU-gust as a successor, and I think it’s a reasonable alternative. I hope you like astronomical units, because this summer, we’re going big. Or at least, we might be. If I’m in the mood.
- Trades & Commissions
o I’ll probably do some trades. I can’t see myself doing any commissions.
