I've never liked my username. When I created this account, it was under the naive assumption that it would be the safe-for-work alternative to DeviantArt, where, at the time I had the regrettably not-PC user name of WolfJew. The name is itself kind of an inside joke, it's the English translation of my last name from German (apparently, my ancestors, whoever they were, worked at grindstones sharpening blades). Even when I found out that this site was far from work-friendly, I figured it was no big deal. There wasn't much I could do anyway, since FA doesn't allow users to change their names. I was only 18, it's not like I had a rep yet.

Now, after 15 years, I think a new username is in order to reflect where I am now, personally and artistically. On just about every site I use right now, I'm using the far-more respectable moniker of gabe_s, and seeing as this is the site where I do most of my business, a little vertical integration might be in order. In other words, sometime soon, I'd like to start a new account here under my new username.

Everything I've posted here will remain up, I just won't post anything new, and any new posts I do make will be on the new account. I'll also be removing anything decorative (profile pic, avatar, page description, etc.), moving it to the new account and replacing it here with links to me new, active account.

This is not eminent, nor is it immediate. I'd like a few more second opinions before I make a decision, and even if I do chose to do it, it'll be a bit of work that I don't have time for right now. However, if/when it happens, it'll be under the same name I used for Instagram, DeviantArt, Itaku, Ko-Fi and Piczel: gabe_s_art.

Until then, I'll continue posting new art here, including more commission work.
