Hows your 2024 goin?

❤❤ ~ Remember that you are loved! ~ ❤❤ I got started on a CPAP machine a few days ago and its been a weird experience trying to get used to it and its extremely weird method of figuring out what days I'm sleeping...
it seems to put everything up to 10am in the previous days timeslot despite never sleeping before midnight [much like Pokémon sleep] A real pain honestly
I've been doin a lot of thinkin with my current art fixation [I know the burnouts on the way any moment now as is the nature of mental illness] and I think I've come to terms that I make my closed species not for other people, but for myself.
I don't really care that there's tons of 'wisp viper lookalikes' out there, I'm just happy the fandom loves snakes, because they are great.
I think its a healthy realization that I don't need to give anyone my species to keep enjoying them.
For those unawares I had a popular species because of my Meep fursuit in '13 that people started harassing, blackmailing, and threatening me to make them a species to allow fursuits of to turn into the next dutch angel dragon craze.
But i've never wanted my species to be popular like that, they are my babies and they matter deeply to me first and foremost.
My closed species were never about 'how much money can I make' and have always been 'how do they fit in my stories'
That said I am trying to put more wisp viper lore to paper to set them apart, even if the trait list sheet still gives me choice paralysis, with Sir Pippington I plan to start exploring less formal methods of trait discovery n such!
2024 is going to be a year focusing on my personal OC' planet, Vsetin. Its been the canon home to my species and characters since 2010 I think? I'm overdue to work on it, as figuring out the planet itself will aid in learning more about the species that live in it.
I'd like to bring Meep n Beep back onto the scene but am going through heavy rewriting to figure out what their stories are now as the og story was uh... bad.
I'd love to hear about how things are going for y'all too?

Steven's pass got a Blizzard warning for the first time in over a decade which was bonkers.
It was really fun seeing all the childlike wonder of washingtonians experiencing cold temps though, so many videos of people throwing boiling water in the air or leaving their la croix out to explode just to experience it. xD
Oh yeah i've been playing a bunch of palworld, minecraft & cult of the lamb haha
hoping to drag soren back into playing roots of pacha soon as her health issues stop causing such problems ;a;
Saw a bit of Palworld. Looks fun. Too demanding for my toaster but it's fun to watch vids of folks going on a pyro-spree once they learn they can pick up the fire type and use it as a flamethrower.
And then find out their base is flammable.
Things have been good for le me, for the most part ~w~
Otherwise I'm doing alright myself. Helped my brother build his first Gaming PC. I'm just currently just waiting for a release date on the Elden Ring DLC.
Suffering from a burnout since september last year and trying my best to keep together. Had trouble from the start as here at home, mental health is seen as another normal sickness - it'll be over in a week and you'll be back to normal sort of deal. Been rough, lost most drive to do art and other things as most of my time goes to work, sleep, doing scheduled chores per demand and dogwatching. >n>;;
BUT! I managed to land an appartment a week into the year - so I'm moving out! 8D First of April is the date, and Im so looking forward being able to only worry about my own life for a time and not having to worry about other people's demands when they can't get the time schedule to fit together.
This'll be an awesome year, imma keep my eyes peeled for your stuff (when not chugging energy drink to stay awake)! 8D
