Today (February 20th, 2024), we the furry fandom, have lost one of our founders. Mark Merlino, aka Sy Sable passed away from Stage IV liver cancer. God Speed and God Bless.

I can't lie, this news hit me like a freight train, I had mad respect for him, for helping start something fantastic, may his soul rest in peace knowing what he helped make will last for many years to come

Oh! I missed this journal. And I did hear about the terrible news. Also, seriously, FA has a terrible journal viewing interface. Yes, he truly was a groundbreaker of the fandom that we enjoy today. We met Mark 20+ years ago and he was an awesome fellow, we also went to his furry house parties many times. Until we meet again in the big furcon in the sky.
