Lets say you won the lotto.

I kinda did, but only got $21 out of the $10 I put in for it. Mom wasted $50 trying for the Powerball and didn't get squat for it. Later this week she's gonna go down to Tampa and lose more money on slots at the Hard Rock. Personally I prefer Blackjack but haven't played since I lost $100 on the cruise ship years ago.
But anyways my sis asked what would I have spent my winnings if I won. Didn't have to the billion. I'd be happy with a single million, back half a million I can budget wisely. But if I won, first thing is I wouldn't tell a soul. I want to spend some on taking care of dad but he's told me he's so messed up that it'd be a waste to spend anything on him. Just as long as I can keep him comfortable and clean and keep him out of a nursing home. Though he told me if I could hire some 'maids' to clean him up, make sure they have some huge tits. ^_^; "Just because I can't feel anything doesn't mean I can't enjoy the view!" My pops is a dirty old man, I hope he lasts a bit longer.
For mom I'd probably sign her up for one of those elderly cruise ship deals where they spend 6 months out at sea. I heard it was a better and cheaper alternative to a nursing home. Some of my coworkers did that for their folks, at least till Covid hit. Hopefully its safe now, though I gotta make sure moms cruise avoids Haiti as much as possible.
For myself? Something simple. Mainly repair the home, update the pipes and wiring. Don't ever plan on selling it, no matter how many people call for it. For the longest time I always wanted to try out loving in an RV and just go on a road trip. No place in particular in mind, any place will do, though probably avoiding big cities and snow as much as I can. But some are crazy expensive and I would hate to learn how to drive something the size of a bus everywhere. But then I saw this.
Something like that would be the perfect size for me. If I won a small or decent jackpot, I would like that.
Heh, if I won a big one though? I would lease out this small store near where I live and turn it into a Gundam hobby store. Model kits, action figures, DVDs and Blu-rays, other stuff like mecha musume and art books. Hell, buy several Gundam Battle pods or arcade tables of the Gundam VS games and set up tournaments. I don't even care if I make a profit, though I probably will try to at least. Honestly I just shelf space to show off my collection and maybe get some folks in on the fandom.
So what about you? What would you do if you won the jackpot?
Edit: Forget the Gundam hobby store. Apparently there is a place near the gym I go to called Nakama Anime Bar. Its two store side by side each other actually. One is a little izayaka restaurant where they serve things like Ramune sodas, sake, ramen bowls, tempura and teriyaki, and 'jelly donuts' of various flavors while 2 TVs are streaming anime. The other part next door has a bar where you can order and have the stuff made and brought over from the restaurant part while you watch anime from 3 tvs. They also have several karaoke booths for rental. And a store up by the front where I buy my Gundam kits and hobby tools from them. I got some Pokemon figurines made out of crystal for a friend of mine there along with an Eevee model kit. Food is okay, Ramune is too expensive for how small it is, but I love the stuff they have there. I only go on weekdays so I don't know how busy it is and I haven't tried the karaoke yet.
But I think I would love to have an Otaku store where I would sell lots of anime and many stuff, maybe have a small restaurant, and instead of karaoke an arcade of Japanese games. If I could ever find some pachinko machines that would be awesome.

Then after a few years, start using the income from the investments to get to buy gifts for my friends every now and then =D
Buy a small house (I don't need much space, and I like the idea of home ownership).
Buy a newer car (2012 is great and all, but surely a decade's worth of advancements have to count for something).
Invest, invest, invest!
I'm a simple guy and don't need extravagance ^,^
Half (250K) to the Fiduciary who handles my (currently) meager investments (he also handles my tax returns)
Out of the remaining 250K, pay off the mortgage, possibly replace the car (150,000+miles currently), set a few thou as a buffer for house bills, maybe, MAYBE, throw an understated "I think I've achieved financial security" party, and the remainder, back to the investments.
So yeah, I'm really boring with money, but I'm an Engineer, money isn't an end goal, it's a tool, and if I don't have to worry if I can get all my bills paid, I'm content.
If its just for sheer luxury, Im putting it into a proper man cave with the best PC and entertainment systems that money can buy.
Ridiculous jackpot? Underground bunker house, I like being underground. Found and fund no-kill dog shelters. Open up an old-school "trading post" type roadside attraction with a museum of my collections, a cafe, juice bar and a beef jerky and dried fruit stand.
#2: Move into a rental somewhere that has great doctors and get fixed everything wrong with me.
#3: Put all of my non-essential stuff in storage and spend at least one year roving around North America checking out all the places ever looked like they might make for decent living. And if there's one that seems plausible for someone like present-day me to go but which jackpot me has ruled out, get tickets to a game and a selfie with the mascot to put on Facebook so all the toxic people I've cut out of my life but who are still trying to weasel their way back into it will think I've slipped up and revealed to them that I live somewhere i do not.
#4: Buy a modest but modern house wherever I felt the most at home during my roving period and get a custom gaming and media room so that, if anyone ever asks me what I do for a living, I can truthfully tell them that I have a Youtube channel.
#5: Become a philanthropist and patron of the arts.
Donate it to animal shelter.
but i just want to say love what your dad said XD
