They Rereleased Gigantic! (Game from the late 2010s)
Yooo I just learned that Gigantic was repackaged and they revived the servers. Its a paid version but like honestly aside from some QoL and bug fixes it works great!

Gigantic is a sorta hybrid team shooter and a moba with the closest candidate being like overwatch? If any of you play I would love to play with peeps :3
Cheers,

I Played the SHIT out of this back when it was F2P on the Xbox ONE.
Im happy to see it back & I want to get back in, but Im dragging my feet because I gotta pay for it now....and because I hear its got server issues. Y'Know, you dont wanna pay for damaged goods XD
Yeah it is a pay for the re-release but I noticed they also give out a lot of premium currency for skins as you level so its probobly so it has a more consistent revenue stream (the previous game died cause it couldnt make money after all). It is also 20% off rn and its only 15 dollars.
The Common Sentiment Ive been hearing is that the game is fantastic...when it works.
Maybe its stabilizing or they did some quiet patching...or your are just lucky XD
That matchmaking hasn't been terrible on your end.
Always loved Voden, and Tripp.
Has she been further Nerfed? I remember they nerfed her Speed From Extremely Fast, to Just Fast XD
So I wouldnt know. Im just going off of the Reports from my circle.
the only thing that was changed between then and basically the last time the game was live is that they added a new map and character because they were already finished but didn't get added since the game died before they could. and they officially said that currently there are 0 plans for new content beyond those additions.
it honestly makes the game look like a cash grab but I enjoyed it too much to not buy it. I'm hoping that if enough people buy in they start fixing and upgrading things and making new content
So, if you are wanting to buy to support the original devs, just know that you don't have to feel guilty if you don't want to pick it up.
The other thing that has come out is that updates will be very sparse. Abstraction was given everything the original devs had cooked up, and WERE cooking up too. So any plans that were left in the oven are fully out and implemented now.
Abstraction, to my knowledge, aren't known for creating games. They did co develop some games like ark survival evolved, sure, but most are adaptations. AKA, helping other studios port their games to new systems, or making a collection bundle out of some previously released game series and just polishing up old games to look good on modern systems, such as with the mass effect collection, the hotline miami collection, and baldur's gate 3.
I think that's why the majority of level ups are releasing tons of premium currency. That way players can get everything they want in the game.
Now, this model isn't bad. Plenty of games still are played that are old, are multiplayer, and have no plans to release further updates like characters or stages. People just have to be aware that it's highly likely that no new content will be released apart from what we have now.
At the end of the day its 15 bucks to play agame I wanted to play again for YEARS. I'll take the small amount I can get.
