Hey folks,
Well, last few weeks have been hell. Been home for 5 days and continuing to deal with pains in my guts. Doing food diary research it looks like Gluten is now my enemy. And I'm surprised how much stuff has gluten in it. Apparently all my gut problems are a form of IBS which can be triggered by alot of things, including stress, certain foods, etc... When it flares up all I can do is lay down curled up on my side and ride out the pain, pain meds aren't helping at all. Nausea, anti-gas, etc. aren't helping either. Benadryl helps a tiny bit, but that is one of the few drugs that puts me to sleep too. Been reading up on IBS and there is very little that can be done other than doing the elimination of various things from my diet to find out what contributes to flareups.
The other problem I've been fighting is my blood pressure. if resting, my blood pressure is naturally high. But when I sit or stand my blood pressure drops like crazy. They call it orthostatic hypotension and is normally treated with drugs to raise the blood pressure, but since I have high blood pressure at rest, they can't do that and the doctors insist I take a high BP medicine which can make the other problem worse. When I stand I have to fight to keep my vision from graying out and to keep my balance. Even sitting can cause my vision to start to gray out at the edges. It's unnerving as hell.
Hoping to get back into my art and writing this week, please be patient as I learn what I can and can't safely eat without terrible pain and try to get my body to behave correctly.
Stay safe out there everyone!

If gluten is one of the problem, getting it out of your diet will improve your health a lot and will help you heal. Tho YES, gulten is everywhere. Tho there's a few gluten safe brands out there so don't loose hope.
