Well... I don't have telegram or use Twitt...X or Bluesky, but don't worry if you plan to be more active there, instead of here.

As for crossposting - maybe try using an app that supports all sites? I think PostyBirb does support telegram, Bluesky and FA, so you could upload art everywhere at once with it.

I‘ve heard about PostyBirb but it kinda feels so unpersonal … call me crazy but when i decide to stay on a place i do it because of my followers and supporters (heck this post), to interact with them, answer on comments and all. When i know, there are people who don‘t just click away every new post but are honestly excited and happy to see something new from me. That‘s the people i want to take care most of.

If i let a software do the work for me, i wouldn‘t have a reason to check the site , therefore i wouldn‘t see anyones comments, i‘d make myself so… ‚hard to reach out to‘ which i really don‘t like. when i have this feeling of other artists it honestly turns me off too, altough i absolutely understand the struggle to be active everyhwere, especially when you‘re dependand on it.

I‘d like to put my effort and care mainly to my little community of people who actually like my work and not for just about everyone just to get clicks and attention.

Even tho I follow you on Bluesky I am way more active here so it would be "inconvenient" for me personally if you left FA and I'd probably be a semi-inactive follower there (only checking bluesky every few days/weeks atm).
The whole problem comes down to personal preference in apps/sites :') If you decided to leave FA you will probably leave people behind that enjoy your work because other social media platforms are inconvenient for them to check regularely.

I always recommend keeping FA as a permanent gallery since social media/chats are so… temporary and hard to look at if someone wants to look at past works. You don’t need to post here often, just upload a selection of works every few months or so.


Personally I still use FA as my main way to view furry art as I can’t stand how stuff gets buried on social media. This is so much easier/faster

YES i completely see it the same way… that‘s why it‘s hard, that‘s why it was also hard to leave deviantart since it used to be my main place to upload everything since 2010. eclipse sadly destroyed that, so fA is the only thing similar left. But fA is very furry centered too. I don‘t upload everything here anyways

Your idea with keeping it and bulk uploading once in a while is a good one - but do people actually like that? My personal experience is that i often get overwhelmed with 10000 new art pieces uploaded at once xD

But reading your and all the other comments made me realise that there are quite some people who do actually look at what i do , i didnt really realise that before 😃

Even though I am active in your Tele - I use your FA to link your images to moots when you did splendid art (since FA is besides Tele the only place I follow you)

Thanks for your honest opinion! I dislike twitter myself and dont quite know what to do with bluesky. As it seems i will keep it as it is as there are quite some people commenting - that‘s exactly what i wanted to know making this journal! If it‘s still worth!

FA is pretty much the only site I look at for furry art, so I definitely wouldn’t be seeing your art anymore, which would be a shame.

I more or less only use FA, so I’d be pretty disappointed if you left. I tried using Telegram once but it didn’t really gel for me. Plus as one of the other commenters said, social media is generally a pretty poor substitute for a gallery - it can be very hard indeed to find an art piece again depending upon how active the artist is and their posting patterns.


I came upon your art more or less by chance, and I quite like it. It would be a shame if I could no longer see it.

No problem! I really appreciate that you let us know what you were considering doing - and even gave us the opportunity to share our opinions. I've followed a number of artists who just disappeared one day without a trace, and it's always a little sad to return to their abandoned FA pages. For what it's worth, I'll echo the others and say that you should always consider what works best for you - you're the one sharing your art with us as a favour, after all!

I think I might give Telegram another whirl, just in case you do decide to drop FA. Plus it's always nice to see your art! I wish it didn't require a phone number, though...

Of course! I dont have anything against fA (like i have against eclipse) it‘s just that i wanted to know if people even care

And if they do i wanna take care too. It‘s you who are making me motivated and have even more fun with what i‘m doing after all, it‘s worth so much for me. It‘s worth the effort it takes and i can figure out a way it‘s easier for myself for sure.

As for TG: even when i keep fA i recommend following me there if you want to see much more doodles, stories about what else i‘m doing, ych, raffles of me. I also have a fun little discussion channel with many awesome people, if that‘s something you‘re interested in. I‘m definitely more ‚available‘ and ‚real‘ in a way over there - without being spammy x3

fa sucks but it's way easier for me to keep up with art here than on a chat app or a twitter wannabe site where it gets buried

if u stopped posting here i wouldn't get to see your stuff anymore and that'd be kind of a bummer, but you should most importantly focus on what feels right for you

Yep i agree i like the gallery system more too. I have a website i upload my best work to but of course this is more of a showcase than a regular posting. Altough i dont upload everything here either

also if you're looking for a better gallery site that doesn't have FA's issues i'd recommend itaku, i don't really actively check it myself but i upload there with postybird and it works way better for me as a proper gallery than fa does, the major downside is that compared to fa it has very few users so i stay here for engagement

I quite like your work but this is the only place I follow you. I have personal reasons I refuse to use telegram so I wouldn't be able to follow you there. I could follow you on bluesky but I also only occasionally check there for anything and it's not nearly as good for viewing an artist's history. Probably don't need to make your decisions for my sake, though.

I do make decisions on my followers sake tho! It‘s not like it‘s super much work or difficult or anything. Just wanted to check if it‘s still worth at all. Like if zero people answered or everyone who cares says they prefer telegram anyways, that‘d be a reason to stop taking effort x3 so thanks for your comment!!

As others in the comments, I'm in the "only uses FA, doesn't like how impermanent artwork feels on social media sites" camp
Though, really, the last word in the matter is yours. While it would inconvenience some people if you deleted your profile here, it's important to weigh that against your own feelings of just not feeling like staying here -- under no circumstances you should feel obligated to do something that you don't have the energy/interest/time to keep doing

As someone who can‘t stand classic social media like x, insta and similar i‘m totally agreeing with that view of art feeling inpermanent, un-findable there.

Thanks to all your comments i see that i‘m not the only one with that feelings and i think i will not only stay here as a result - i will also try to sort the images in my gallery better to really use the superiour options a gallery-based website has
