Small slice of life events and inconsequential interactions help establish the perspective and values of an individual from the outside perspective. They unfortunately do not support a compelling narrative seeing as overarching plot would lose momentum to the context required to relate to these precious little things. Episodic storytelling, consisting of a contained A plot and a gradually developing overarching B plot, more often allow for deep interpersonal understanding to develop. This is part of why comic book, Sit Com, and game series characters are so beloved as the audience is given time to witness them in a variety of short interactions and develop sympathy as a result. Many action hero movies fail to understand the importance of this and fall flat as a result...

This is all to say; no single narrative will do justice Mirabilis as they are so much more than just a story. ^_^

Might I suggest smaller stories that can fit between or alongside the main plot? Both for experimenting and an excuse to explore aspects that may seem too situational. If they go well you can then integrate them into the greater narrative, if not there is no harm in extra content.

You should totally continue, the fact that you have written all that backstory is what makes it valuable as you have invested you time and creativity in to it even if it feels a little rushed,

and no story is perfect every single time, it could Only seemed rushed to you because you are viewing it thru different emotions and outlook then when you where writing it, so try not to beat your self up over it

hmm, while I definitely understand where you're coming from, I think it's valuable to just have them there, even if you didn't spend as much time as you'd like perfecting them. you could even think of them as rough drafts for now, and collect them into a more polished work later. but if it's just for us to know who the character is, I'm definitely satisfied with how they are right now.
