Fffffuuuuckkk... Covid...
a year ago
Dammit... so some of you might know I've been sick the last 4 days. My fever still hasn't broke so I decided to take a Covid test... It came back positive. My breathing is fine for the moment, but this really turbo sucks. I had all my vaccinations, but I guess they either didn't take or this is a new strain. I feel absolutely awful. Been rolling around in a pool of sweat and in pain the whole time. I really don't want to be out of work that long either, but it can't be helped. I'll keep ya'll posted in case anything changes, but hopefully my next journal will be that I'm better and not going to the hospital. x.x;

If you can, keep up with electrolytes, and lay on your stomach every so often for a bit so your lungs get relief, it also helps keep stuff from draining into them which Is one of the things you want to avoid!
Wish you luck on recovery, it sucks but it's known how to treat it now compared to the start of the pandemic!
I had Covid too; I was feeling sick for two days, but the third day I felt much better, although I couldn't feel tastes of food and drink for a pair of weeks. And I didn't have vaccinations.
I wish you a quick recovery, my friend!
Hope you get better soon, fuzzball.
Many states are experiencing the second new strain since the end of 2023. So, the shots last fall are already one or two variations behind in many areas. They likely won't have the next updated shots until some time in the fall.
I had Covid twice. It was rough, and lasted for over three weeks each time. Needless to say, I still avoid large crowds. I'm high risk due to my age, and also due to some heart issues.
Hope you're feeling better!
