Why I'm always reluctant to Patreon

Talented artist: "New promotional exclusively on X."
Me: "Hm. Not at all a fan of X, but I guess it couldn't hurt to give it a l-"
Artist: "Release the J6 hostages!" "Death to the libtards!" "Jews are ruining the country!" "Sandy Hook was a hoax!" "N*****-N*****-N*****!!!"
(long awkward pause)
Me:
Artist blocked... Favorites removed... And a little prayer said in thanks that this occurred before I subscribed to their Patreon.
And no, I'm not giving any more hints as to who the artist is (I'm already concerned I may have said too much as it is). Not that you need one since this shit is all out in the open.

There's no winning when there's no middle ground to meet and debate on- peacefully.
I resent that one of my favorite artists privated their gallery here and now posts exclusively on Shitter.
Everything mentioned above fits in that category. It's not "political" to report on actual facts or call someone out for lying, to acknowledge that people exist and have the right to continue existing, to eat right and exercise, to care about the environment, or to like Taylor Swift and Bud Light. And a pox on anyone who claims otherwise.
