Dragoneer
Dragoneer tragically passed away last night. He was FA's owner and one of the folks responsible for this site even existing today.
I didn't really know him outside of basic information and some surface-level interactions, but I use this site almost every day and it's pretty much the only place that I consistently post my art. If it weren't for FurAffinity, I'd probably still be floundering in the AI apocalypse that deviantArt has become. I've tried posting my art on other websites, but I always find myself coming back here as a safe, consistent place to post whatever I like. I've met many friends here and made some lovely connections and discoveries, and this website was definitely a big part of me coming into the furry community during my college years.
So, no, I didn't know him, but I've been interacting with a home that he helped to build for many, many years now, and I'm very grateful for that. It's a tragic loss, and my heart goes out to those closest to him.

Like Scoutter said, FA may be flawed but other places are much worse. Let's protect his legacy.
