I'm beyond shocked and saddened to hear about Dragoneer. He and I were probably around the same age, which is way too young to be gone.
We didn't interact much at all but the impact he had on this fandom can't be overstated.
It hurts to see that he was forgotten by the very systems that are supposed to be there to make sure we DON'T suffer.

I'm hoping that in honor of 'Neer's legacy US furs work for universal free healthcare. There was absolutely no excuse for what happened to him.
Not to get too personal, but seeing this before talking with my therapist for the first time reminded me of how the health care system failed my mom, her partner, and I - not to say there was a hope of recovery, but rather, they never provided us with the necessary resources to navigate through her final weeks and hospice care fell on the two of us, completely untrained and unable to shoulder that burden. It's weighed on me for eight years now.
