Oh! yeah, i've been a fan of Gundam since... like, when Wing first aired in the United States, lol. So 2000 or so!

I got into Gundam around the time 00 came out, saw the original series around that time and I've been hooked ever since.

While I'm not convinced that Bsky is great, at this point it's clearly better than Xitter.

if nothing else, the lack of an algorithm means i don't have to be inundated with white noise from whatever is trending! i won't say it's a perfect site or anything like that, but i can definitely see the merit of it as a place where you don't have to obsess over engagement metrics.

Numbers are BS, and a stupid thing to chase. That's part of how the surveillance capitalism sites get ya. That just ends up putting people on a treadmill and making them unhappy. You can't win. Eff algorithms.

Do they have actual galleries? Xitter completely sucked for not having them, IMO. Continuous scroll is BS.

it still only has the continuous scroll thing for Media sadly, I do hope they add the option of just displaying thumbnails for media and letting you click on the thumbnail to pull up the post in question

Bummer. I'm not surprised, though. It would be an easy fix, but it doesn't support the model, so why would they bother?

Basically, we're asking a site that's been around for what, two years? three?, to pick up the slack for one that's been around for a couple decades. Give 'em a chance to add the functions.

There's an extension for browsers called "Sky Follower Bridge" that can look over the list of people you follow and tell you if they have a BS account. It's about 80-90% accurate, and what it can't find you can do manual searches for.

Oh! I keep meaning to get that for Firefox, and then my ADHD brain kicks in lol
