I've already tweeted my thoughts but I'll make a post here too.
I didn't know him personally, but I know a lot of my fatfur/inflation friends were close to him. We floated in similar circles for so long but I never reached out. Saying that him and this website are foundational to who I am today is a massive understatement. I would not be here if not for Dragoneer and the other founders of FA. This website is the reason I have made the friends that I have, found the community that I have, finally found a place to belong. It's such a huge loss for the community. He shouldn't have died. He deserved better.

The healthcare system failed him, just as it fails so many each and every day. It hurts looking at his last few days of posting. The fear that me or someone else I care about could be in that exact same position, and have no way to survive because being poor with a health condition is a death sentence in this country.
