[EASYSTART] New payment method? Need your opinion!
Heya! I want to ask you a question since there are ongoing technical issues with Boosty and Hipolink (which no one truly knows when they'll be resolved).
As many of you know, PayPal hasn't been working with Boosty since February, and now it has disappeared as a payment option on Hipolink. All we get from technical support is that they can't say the precise dates when it'll be up again. Hopefully, it won't take 6+ months xD
As far as I believe, most commissioners prefer to use PayPal for payments instead of credit/debit cards, which is totally understandable (even though no one had any issues with it so far). And since I want to be able to adjust the payment method to your needs/preferences, I'm thinking of setting up an EasyStart account just in case Hipolink won't be PayPal-compatible anymore.
From what I heard other artists say, EasyStart works with PayPal through freelancer tasks (https://start.easystaff.io/pay_via_paypal). As you may see, the payment process is pretty difficult, as opposed to what you may have seen on Boosty/Hipolink. So I want to ask you - would you, as a commissioner, be willing to go through all this? Depending on your answer, I'll decide, if I should set up an account there. For more info on EasyStart, I recommend visiting https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10545564
The other semi-solid option is to use a third-party PayPal account, but as far as I saw, they work only with F&F transactions + take 15% of the amount as a price for their services ;-; So if you wanna use this method, my prices will be increased a bit as well.
Anyway, please let me know what you think about all this! If you have ever worked with EasyStart as an artist or as a commissioner, please share your experiences in the comments <3
Thank you!!
Edit 09/30: I've tried it for myself, definitely can say it works better than Boosty/Hipolink. Thanks to Aquaowolf for helping me test it! <3
No need to wait for tech support to reply for 3+ days, fast verification, and fast withdrawal (like 2 hours if done via invoice, idk if that matters though). The payment process was easy on my end. They also use Russian Central Bank exchange rates, which are higher than Boosty's, which is good :)

Have you or your commissioners had any issues with payment/withdrawal?
As for withdrawal there's also some inconveniences: you have to wait up to 3 days for your money since requesting withdrawal; and you can't request for it if the sum you have is less than 20$/€. Because of it I can't withdraw money from my last commission, which was exactly 20$, but after platform took it's fee the sum now is less than 20. And I have to wait for another payment to be able to withdraw my money =V
Your journal post is the first time I have heard of EasyStart. I haven't even adopted Venmo or CashApp because the desktop version is neutered and they are plainly phone programs.
