Marty here! Football has started (Finally!) now here the results of week 1 of preseason (Short reviews by Pythos):
CAL at CHI
Line: CHI -12.5
Notes: John Cameron threw three interceptions in only 14 attempts. Lucie Damphousse caught a 75 yard TD pass from Leza Astrah, the longest catch of her career.
Final score: CHI 48, CAL 21
RIC at DWN
Line: DWN -10.5
Notes: Anthony Wisniewski intercepted the first pass of the second half for a pick six. Richmond led for the whole game, as Downriver turned it over three times.
Final score: RIC 24, DWN 21
NYD at LVB
Line: LVB -2.5
Notes: Las Vegas beat California with FOUR picks thrown. Rookie Eris Lin was only 2/11. NYD kicker Gayle Gustafson hit all six kicks: three FG and three XP. NYD defensive tackle Darren Compton injured his groin and is likely to miss several weeks.
Final score: NYD 30, LVB 10
NSH at NFR
Line: NFR -9.5
Notes: Windy game. Caryn Becker only played one series. Travis Lockhart played most of the game and threw three TDs. Rookie Olga Mikhailov had four QB hits.
Final score: NFR 42, NSH 13
BAL at ATX
Line: ATX -14
Notes: Baltimore had over 200 yards on the ground, and only five incompletions between three QBs. Austin only had the ball for 20 minutes total.
Final score: BAL 30, ATX 10
GRD at MTL
Line: MTL -12
Grand Rapids didn’t score on offense – just got a pick six for the only points. Montreal just totally dominated this one in all phases
Final score: MTL 38, GRD 7
COL at EAS
Line: EAS -3.5
Notes: Rainy game. COL came from behind in the fourth quarter for the win.
Final score: COL 21, EAS 18
MIA at NOC
Line: Even
Notes: New Orleans had three turnovers, but also a really nice 78 yd TD pass to Honor Matari. Rookie Kass Spots caught two TDs and ran for a third.
Final score: MIA 34, NOC 7
