I have had this theory that there's some animosity or disbelief between current staff and dragoneer that has turned into an almost denial of the fact that he was moderately friendly to the circles they are now targeting. Not sure if it's spite or denial / narrative rejection. I get the feeling that this was building for years. Given the amount that these staff members are active on twitter and seem to use and endorse the worst tactics of the site, it makes me think that rather than accidentally courting that behavior, they are seeing it as some sort of allowing people to "fix" the "mistake" dragoneer made by not casting them out.

I personaly see the FA thing as a side effect of the simple fact globalby oppression is on the march. I strongly suspect there's some kind of legal BS in some random tin horn dictatorship at play because e6 cracked down too long before dragoneer sadly departed us..

on the bluesky stuff I think that's almost entirely a fusion of the hatred of rocket man and AI. it has to be both at once because DA does the same crap but rocket man isn't involved there.
