I've watched the migration, but it seems all the problems of Twitter are just moving to Bluesky, which tells me the issue is the people, and changing platforms isn't really doing much. Leave one, and the problems just follow right along behind you.

People are weird. Not much we can do about them.

Xitter and BS have inherent problems based on the fact that they were started by some of the same people for the same reason. They're both based on a surveillance capitalism model, which is why I've never wanted to be on either one, and probably never would.

To some degree, I think you're right here, though, particularly about people being weird.

Xitter's going down hard though post Musky. Everything he's done has made the site objectively progressively worse.

At least BS has potential to get better, and likely has actual moderation that might be responsive to what's best for the greater community, and doesn't have a petty and selfish right wing manchild driving it at full speed into a ditch by the day.
