Nothing to do with AI. (Thankfully.)

Hello again to all my Fellow FA Artists, writers, Friends, Fans and other highly creative people.
Just some random thoughts I felt you folks might find amusing.
After some discussion on designing chairs and seats for anthropoid creatures with long, sometimes fluffy tails, I've come to like the idea that an automobile seat should have a hole where the tail could poke through without compromising back support. Seats in cramped spaces like airliners should allow the person inside to either lay the tail to one side, with ample room for the tail to be curled up next to the seated person's legs. One thing I have considered concerning ejection seats for tailed folk, there should be a way to secure the tail to the seat to keep the extra limb from just flapping loose in the slipstream. Perhaps like in the older Mach One plus jet fighters, there could be a ring that is secured to the seat that makes sure no part of the pilot gets left behind.
Is there a way to recycle all those tree and vein like "Guides" that are snapped off of highly complicated 3-D printed items? I meeeean... The doctors have me on a sensor disk system to help monitor my blood glucose, and after each application I have to throw away four rather large items made of plastic. Remember... Any Styrene items thrown away could "Haunt" others after it's recycled into a plastic model kit.
I was depressed because I ran my monthly SSI allowance to darn near nothing this month. So, I had to miss attending the local, Mini Anime Con, and I couldn't go to the Pasadena City College Flea Market. While I was doing my laundry, I was walking back to the house, and a cold "Santa Ana" wind kicked up. I lamented to the gods in the style of Cool Hand Luke, "Love me, hate me, strike me down... Just show me that you care!" With my eyes fixed on the heavens, I stepped squarely onto a pile of coyote poop.
This means something.
"Peace."

I decided to have the seatbacks swing down from the top of the cabin, giving support to the centauroid felines' back and also allow their hindbodies to stretch out in a relaxed style, or to sit up with all four paws flat on the floor-seat. (Sphinx Style.)
I do wonder how comfortable such a position would be on extended trips.
Stay safe Roy and don't step in any more coyote poop! :D
In short, back seats are not practical
One think I do with leftover styrene sprues and shavings is to dissolve them in plastic cement, and use it as putty, or to cast small parts. In theory, you should be able to remelt the plastic from the filament printers and reuse them, but the UV cured resin undergoes a chemical change, so it might be harder to reuse. I imagine someone has a solution.
As for the recycling plastic guides here are two youtube channels that could help.
https://www.youtube.com/@BrothersMake Shows how to mold , ID the type of plastic, and safety when self recycling.
https://www.youtube.com/@CNCKitchen Shows experiments he’s tried in both strengthening, smoothing, and recycling prints, as well as other 3D printer subjects. These are just the first two to come to mind so hope they help.
Cold wet weather out here in the AZ high country. Rain for me, snow up in the mountains.
Tail issue, my old Husky didn't have problems with the tail in the vehicle, just tucked it to one side when sitting or laying on a seat.
I can't get over how much plastic is in the lancets for monitoring my blood sugar. Been using plastic soda bottles as sharps containers for them and the alcohol wipes and test strips. I monitor at work and home. Looked at those stick on the arm type sytems but damn the price is high on those things unless you have insurance that picks up the cost.
Sorry you were feeling down ho.
On the subject of chairs, I looked at a few of the other comments and I think that the idea of a swing seat that can be snapped out and in (per Perfesser-Bear) would be the way of luxury cars, while cheaper models would just have the backs on "stilts".
Though I also think rjbartrop makes a valid point about animals being kind of okay with sitting on their tails; which explain why furries can lay on their backs. xD
Also on the topic of sitting behind someone with a big tail... I think that would be great, free snuggles for the back seat rider. The problem would be for the one on the front if they don't want their tails pulled by kids or rude people!
It's all dependant on how anthro/toony a character is I guess too (I picture my characters needing the hole partially into the seating area, which is why I bring it up), no body shape is bad as we're all welcome to make characters work as we please of course. So the way many draw/use already would work for some! =)
as for car seats, I also have been thinging this through once. the hole in the back seems viable, but there are downsides to this. be it the seat adjustment mechanism, or the seat belt, or just the doors catching a tail when you're unaware, or lean to the side for something. you know how a tail has a "life" of it's own... better construct a crevice in the seat cushion so the tail can be parled underneath, or allow for it to be curled up behind one's back sounds more practical to me.
or, in a modern society, they do as the people from Blacksad: when they come to age they decide if they have theor tail taken off, or not.
