I am well aware what the democratic party used to be. I was raised a republican. I eventually grew up and stopped identifying with a specific party. I still do not identify as democrat, I am independent and started looking at both. i know what democrats used to be like, yet shocking as it may be for you, parties change. Trump was the one to strip rights away from people. Trump was the one to lie every single time he got on stage. Trump was the one claiming immigrants were eating peoples pets (they were not.). Trump was the one to try banning immigration on the bases of the religion they came from. Republicans were the ones trying to disenfranchise and limit peoples right to vote every step of the way. They are the ones that are hateful and racist today. And I DID meet republicans, whom lashed out. I live with a trans woman and her non-binary partner and see what they experience every fucking day.

The "history" of the democratic party is not what it is today. I think people are making way to much out of this election and the effect it will have on the country. There's a couple groups who make too much money off the porn industry to allow it to end, one of which I can't mention because I'll be called anti something but the other I can, women. If the porn industry were to shut down, just imagine how many millennial and gen z women would be out of work on the net? Hell, shut down porn and TiKtok and half of gen z women would be unemployed.
