Redesigning Cad

Cad Wing is my fursona and he represents me. Cad began as a winged Mewtwo because I like being a big powerful psychic cat. Now, after many years I'd like to take my fursona to be my own. I don't want something as personal as my fursona to be associated with someone else's product and franchise.
I'm keeping the Cad Wing name, some of the Mewtwo heritage will remain, with the same general look and same powers/abilities. Cad is still the big blue, still psychic, still mow. But Cad will no longer be a Mewtwo, nor have the specific Mewtwo look. Cad is now a genetically engineered hybrid: 60% cat, 30% kangaroo, 10% bird. A catiroo.

It's clear that you're putting thought and care into this!
And dude I totally love that itch you get to redesign and explore em. (And get your reasons why)
And remember! This is fantasy. You can do whatever you want, for whatever reason you want, whenever you want.
I think the only "rule" (more of a guideline) to fursonas is that we (the creators) see them and think: "yeah this is awesome! :D"
