Swings and roundabouts I suppose...Updates!

We buy a house, and one month later my partner is made redundant
XD;
Luckily he already has another job that he will be starting late January. The light at the end of the tunnel is already visible!
It's just going to make for a bumpy next 3 months. That's only a quarter of a year 8D;
I have some savings that was going to be used for roof repairs and a potential trip to China to see my brother with my dad, but I'm gonna have to juggle that around a bit. I am not sure if my dad would go without me, as he'd need the support. It comes down to how strong he feels and the stage of his chemo cycle he's at.
Anyways.
There's still little blessings that can be found in this mess. My partner could have been made redundant earlier, but at least we have a month's notice for instance. We haven't committed to any contractors just yet for the repairs, so that can be deferred for a bit. We already know when things should go back to normal, so there's a fixed time period for the bumpyness.
These all mean things are better than they could have been <3
Speaking of things being better, I have my studio/office space set up! All boxes unpacked, lights installed, and for the first time in 3 years my art supplies are actually NEAR to where I am!! I can literally reach behind me and grab my sketchbooks now and wow that feels good! I am going to dedicate as much time to my art as I can and this excites me! I want to get some nice prints up on the wall >w<
I am not going to commit to streaming more regularly but I hope to continue posting a personal piece outside of commissions at least once a month.
Just need to balance my schedule around DIY XD
We have to replace our bathroom flooring as the chipboard is fucked.
That's project number 1.
Wish us luck?!
