Need help!

Ki-Re/Korrida-dA/hawkclash's News Okay, I'm at the crossroads and need some help. What would you say are my strong points (if there are any) and what are weak points of my art? Few examples below.

Strong points
- Good sense of mood
- Good uniformity to overall color palette choices
- Subject matter feels emotionally charged and strong
Points of improvement (with corresponding educational resources that can provide context)
- Overall, values feel muddy with lots of visual noise in your value groups that lack clear organization/separation

- Your color temperature control feels a bit flat, with not very directed temperature shifts between light and shadow as they would apply to specific materials and local colors on objects, it can make colors and light feel "bleached"

- At times, your perspective is applied unevenly making certain proportions or features feel wonky, when doing far more pushed/simplified stylization this isn't as much of an issue, but because you lean towards more realistic depictions of your subjects, the 'wonky' components stand out and make the images less believable and less impactful than they could easily be with your skills

- Your facial expressions feel good, but the gesture of the body often doesn't feel as successful, for this I would simply recommend doing more timed figure drawing of both people and animals to get a good sense of how you like to capture emotive and dynamic bodies
That is something I can say.
You have a strong sense of mood, good color Palette choices and facial expressions is amazing.
And I find your art inspiring!

It feels like the perspective shifts partway through the image. From the shoulders forward I seem to be looking directly at them but past the shoulders it feels like I'm looking up and from the side.

This one, while it looks to be finished has a mis-match in the finish/hardness of the shadows and lines. While a soft, fussy finish with fur and most cloth/plants can work having the horns, claws and metal be the same soft finish looks odd to me. The teeth are the only hard objects that look right to me. There's something a little off with the angles of the hammer head too, though I can't say exactly what.

Given the detail and finish on the fur the fuzzy/soft finish on the metal seems odd. It also looks like you put 80% of the work into the center of the image, making it highly detailed, but as you moved further out it became more sketch like.

This is the one I can find most fault with. Not surprisingly it's also IMO the least polished of the four.
The pale marking/horn over the eyes seems very far off where it should be on the far side. Also that I can't tell if it's a marking or protrusion isn't good. The neck seems to stretch too long. I expect to see shoulders by the end of the image.
