boy oh BOY where do i fucking begin
i mean, i did put out an ep back in may called AFTERSHOCK via Aural Alliance, pretty proud about how that turned out overall. of course, Aural itself's been thrown for a loop what with AAFest in late august and what happened shortly after, and of course not even a full 48 hours ago the original person behind the label decided to go full batshit scorched earth with most every account the label had and wipe the youtube channel clean of the past few years' worth of music that was on it (really cool move by the way, i'm totally not seething with rage at the thought of all of that shit being gone now or anything).
even so, that shit's not even the half of what i've had to put up with this year. i've already mentioned in the previous journal how the year started with me without meds or insurance for nearly a month and how that fucked up my employment ON TOP OF having to move somewhere new pretty damn quick, but somehow the bullshit just didn't end there. i think if there's anything i've learned hardcore this year, it's that anyone in a position of management or authority is as equally liable and prone to dumb shit as you are, and that they need to be told when they're dragging their feet or being utterly incompetent. seriously, everything from managers at the past couple part time jobs i took up being unable to do their job or even talk to me, to our landlord deciding to put off an issue with our toilet for OVER A FUCKING MONTH and racking up our water bill to well over our monthly rent (still recovering from that shit as of writing). i guess the only good to come out of it is i'm a lot more willing to pipe the fuck up than i used to be lmao
and the election. not really much else to say there
i'd say i'm ready for this year to end, but god knows what our government's gonna try pulling the second they can come january. keep yourselves safe, everyone.
