Just FYI: Currently (until they increase things), BlueSky's media compression line is files at 973kbs and/or 2000x2000px in size. Beyond those, the site compresses things down. So if ever possible that's something to plan around.

Video hosting's possible (not sure if those have different compression limits or if they're hosted offsite), and most people convert gifs to vide formats while the site doesn't support gifs (which MIGHT have changed now, unsure, I saw what looked like people testing gifs the other night).

I advise against: They have shadowbans, shadowblocks, their listing mechanics basically means people can label you and you'd never know as you aren't informed about lists you are in, and they hand keys to governmental authorities to have full control of their countries' moderation lists, which also implies they allow governments to enact censorship as they see fit.

In all honesty, fuck both that site and Twitter and any SMS Social Media site, don't like them.
