I do love your stories and attention to the details of the drawing past the obvious. If I were to give you feedback on how to improve, I'd say to work on your lineweight and shading to make your foreground objects pop more!

Lineweight is so unbelievably scary to me. I’d have to change up my brush settings because I have the pressure curves very stiff for consistent lines. I’ve also seen how effective and expressive it is to have a variety, though I’m unsure where exactly to start with that.

You don't have to mess with you brush! You can just make a new layer and go over your linework a second time, that's what I do when I want to focus on lineweight

Is there any general rules you follow when choosing the weighting?

I usually go with one of two:
Either:
Lines become thicker on outlines and when objects cross infront of other objects
or
Lines become thicker where shadows will become deeper and where objects are heavier.

Ah I see, it’s almost like a line version of foreshortening, in a way. And the shadows make sense as well. I’m certainly going to try to keep that in mind moving forward.

One thing that’s funny about expressions is you can use the exact same face for both pain and pleasure, so with limited context, you can leave it up to interpretation which one it is, or even when one changes to another :P

A tf drawing is appealing to me for how people can draw changes affecting people in a variety of ways, and through a variety of means; can also be thematically appropriate or even just plain old scary or fun

I’d say my go to is an outward appearance of apprehension, but an inward feeling of want and need. It’s like their afraid but this aching need inside them makes the rest of the transformation inevitable, and at some point even those who didn’t want to change may experience the desire to change by the end of it. It’s as if the brain is triggering reward mechanisms because for survival, they need to adapt and accept what’s happening.

For me the look of seeing the bones crack and pop, making the skin stretch with it. Like unnatural bends of the body too (think digitigrade legs), and the bursting of the feet iut of socks/shoes (or both~). Also seeing the muzzle stretching out, the tail growing from the base, the chest widening... All amazing stuff~

I think that’s part of the reason my preference leans heavily toward feral! There ends up being more changes overall to the body that wouldn’t otherwise be sustainable to an anthro form.

What I like about TF? Potentially embracing a new side of yourself. Whether that's physically, mentally, spiritually, or a mix of them... it's the new experience and how that affects the totality of you.

I’ve never been a fan of identity death in transformation because it takes away the opportunity to delve into these concepts. I adore the exploration of the self afterwards and trying to adapt to a foreign body. This is likely because I’m a sucker for character development and it’s a ton of fun thinking up how they learn how to, and eventually become the animal afterwards.

I think the transformation elements that stand out to me are bursting through your clothes to become something more and struggling to burst through them. Also the horniness that may come with it as well, hehehehe.

I love bursting though clothing, I want to get better at drawing clothing so that I can capture that in more effective ways. That’s one of the many things I’m trying to improve so we’ll just have to see where that goes!

What I love about your drawing is that they are realistic and anatomical accurate, also stories you write describing how is affecting them, making it all feel like stuff that could happen IRL.

You need to make nose hole darker with current shades they often look very shallow or if there is light source shining right into them.

I enjoy when the transformation art is detailed and there's more to it than the usual. You're a good example of that since unlike most people who draw well, you not only do that but also write relevant stories for your drawings. The sole fact you ask for criticism and take all of it is respectable to be honest. I like drawn transformation sequences a lot too, can see more of the transformation for one subject than in a single drawing. I've read and seen most of animal transformation art there is by now and at this point I really appreciate and find it interesting when the transformation triggers are fresh, the interactions between characters feel lively and their emotions are expressed vibrantly.

When criticism is constructive, it works wonders. My brain is constantly in problem solving mode, and the first step to effective problem solving is to first identify the problem. I ask for criticism because it’s often very easy to become blinded in one’s own art, and sometimes I can ask the question for hours “why does this look so off?” Sometimes all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes to point out what I can’t see and it helps significantly.

I've been following your dragon and scaly transformations with great interest. I really like how you manage to convey emotions, it's not easy to find believable art that "speaks" to me and makes me yearn for it to happen for real. I just hope you keep drawing and improving, although your art is already very enjoyable as it is.

My favorite aspects of a tf drawing are the tail growth, and how all of those new sensations and emotions are represented. I also love the in-between, where you can feel the familiarity of your human form mixed with the new, alien sensations of what you’re becoming. Being able to shift out of a flawed body into your ideal form: a body you can appreciate is such an appealing idea.
It’s hard to find anything in your newer art to suggest you improve upon since you have made such strides since your older stuff. Perhaps one thing you could work on (which I myself am still not an expert) is working on slightly less stiff poses, particularly for fully human or mostly human characters, although it really isn’t a noticeable issue at all.

I’m glad you pointed that out because it’s a problem I felt I’ve had for years. I’ve always felt like my poses are stiff, and recently I’ve been trying to create more dynamic poses that give a sense of motion in themselves. If it’s not too noticeable, I’ll take that as a sign of improvement!

As someone who likes horror to mix with erotic, I am most interested in the uncanney valley effect of a mid-transformation. The fact that you take the time to draw the inbetween anatomy is why I followed you and why I love your work! So many tf artists only draw maybe one inbetween and it usually looks so clean, but you take the time to show several different stages and make it look like a slow and drawn-out process. First of all I wanna say a HUGE congrats to you for reaching 1000 watches and I’m extremely happy to be one of them! I’m really proud of you broski, and can’t wait to see your continued evolution!

-Well there certainly are a lot of aspects that make a tf appealing to me. Whether it be the new instincts flooding in or the feeling of a tail wiggling its way from behind you. But I think my favorite aspect would be how flexible the concept is. You can do so many creative things with tf beyond it as a kink that makes it such a cool thing. Along with that, I love when other animals (specifically animals of the same species the character is tf’ing into) encourage the victims transformation, whether the victim is willing or not.

-One piece of feedback I’d give is specifically human expressions.

Hey congrats!

Granted not all TF are around freedom, I do love the freedom behind it, especially as a dragon. Free from a simple human shell, to go wherever you want, on your own, and not relying of others. Abandon humanity and become something better. In my mind, all creature are better than a human. That's why I love to see the human body changing and losing all humanity

I am obsessed with flight, every time I fly I just feel… free. So for me, dragons are by far the most freeing transformation to explore because not only is it putting behind my woes of humanity, but I am no longer bound to the earth.

The most appealing element for me is the growth.
Body size growth, tail growth. Especially on herpetomorph species.

As for the feedback, I favor artists that put effort on respecting anatomy and you do that. So my suggestion would be to keep doing it and work on making it even more respectful on anatomy.

I adore growth in transformation, and dragons are the perfect species for it for me! All the awkwardness of trying to adapt to a large body and whoops… that long tail just unintentionally knocked over a tree! XD

I think one way I can make major improvements is to better understand how muscle groups work and flex, because that’s one thing where I feel like my anatomy struggles.

I always liked in TF is how a slow transition happens from one form to the other , possibly into a better one , and the big difference one had that started with to the one it ended to.
As a creative standpoint it also is such a creative thing as there is nearly infinite amount of ways to do a TF, where to start , where to end , what starts it and even during it , what changes will it have next , "hands into paws?", "eyes changing?" , etc...
I always feel that TF kinda always has kinda of magic into it.

Part of what I find interesting about transformation is that exactly thing, endless possibilities. I asked this question for raffle entry because I wanted to see how diverse of answers I would receive in doing so.

Transformation is just super fun. I love watching someone turn into something, more powerful than the human form. I prefer when they stay the same person, getting to enjoy the new them.
For improvement the only thing I've noticed is that some poses feel just a tad stiff.

One of the things I’ve explored in my stories after the transformation is how the character uses their newfound power. I’ve honestly always opted for the character using them responsibly, perhaps with the occasional mischievousness, but overall I tend to avoid the misuse of that power. The only time I do explore that is when I need an antagonist.

Also yes, I definitely have been struggling with the stiffness, I’ve been working to overcome that. I feel like my poses have been getting better, that’s been my main focus this year so far.

Only feedback I can think of is adding a bit more to cityscapes if you do a city in your artwork, it could use another building or two. But it is a sketch to be fair. Otherwise, your backgrounds and art (also stories) are pretty nice

The uncertainty is certainly a thrilling allure of transformation. I love a bit of thrill because it adds a lot of depth to the story of what happens afterwards. I absolutely adore the idea of someone the character trusts being there to help them through the entire process.

Congrats on 1k! For me, the most important thing about a tf is the sensations and the feeling of change. I like tfs to be SUPER intense to really drive home the fact that you're changing your very species. I like it when the person changing actually FEELS every change that happens to them, no matter how big or small it is. Just growing claws would be overwhelmingly intense on its own, so when the guy grows that PLUS paws, digitigrade feet, extra muscle, a tail, and a muzzle, I'd imagine the feeling to be beyond words, and i'd want them to react accordingly. I especially like tails because they're a whole new body part with no human reference for what it might feel like, as well as muzzles because they take away the person's identity as a human more than any other part. Everything else in between is also good too though lol. I also like a good bit of mental change on top of all that too, especially as the tf gets to the extra extra intense stages, but not enough for the person to forget they were human.

The only bits of feedback I can think of is maybe try making some of your stuff feel a little more strained/intense through poses and facial expressions, although I'm obviously very biased about stuff like that so just be aware lol. Maybe also try making the growth a little more uneven at times, so the tf feels little more dynamic.

Expressions are certainly something I’ve been aiming to improve because there’s nothing better than an expression that really sells the intensity of the changes. I have also been experimenting with disproportionate growth, specifically in a few horse doodles I have laying around in my unfinished art folder. I have so many ideas and the most frustrating part is never being able to get to the all. Art is such a time investment for me that I feel like I have to pick my projects carefully.

I like the idea of someone becoming an Animal, especially when it comes to their body changing, especially once they're stuck on all fours. As for Feedback, perhaps more times when the subject is well-prepared for the TF, but whether they embraced it or not... is optional.

Getting trapped on all fours has got to be my favorite aspect of the transformation itself. It’s basically the most symbolic way of saying “You’re an animal now.” I’ve got to find a way to draw something that really captures that moment.

What makes a transformation drawing most appealing to me is its ability to reflect the validation that comes with body modification. It's a form of self-actualization that is so visceral, yet can be so lithe, that feels uniquely suited to how the physiology and psychology of specifically humanity interact so deeply with each other. Transformation is, in my opinion, part of the human condition. Just a part that is so deep, and so primal, that it's one of those draws people don't openly talk about. But I think there's a reason why it keeps appearing so much throughout pop culture. It's who we are, and it's the most validating form of self-expression to me.

I often wonder how intoxicating the feeling of self-actualization would be upon being able to really feel out your new form at the end of a transformation. The more foreign the body, the more difficult, and likely comically frustrating it would be to get used to. Though that feels like the type of change that’s actually enjoyable to experience, despite the potential fear and uncertainty that comes with it, it would be fully embraced.

What's appealing about transformation to me is the shift from human to animal. I love the way tails grow, the rip of clothing, and the slow adoption of instincts that leave them more like an anthropomorphized animal than an actual human. I generally like multiple phases or panels because I think its hard to capture a transformation into a single image.

Yeah, I’ve always felt like they would experience many mental changes throughout the adjustment process, but they’d still end up being roughly the same person even after the mental changes. It’s a bit paradoxical, but I hope you understand what I’m saying.

Hmmm that's a tough one cause I love loads of different elements of transformations. I do love it when they freak out and get shocked and horrified and don't know what's happening to them. Also seeing them looking down at there face as the snout comes in. I do love a weight gain tf I.e pig, cow, elephant or a big fat hippo. Just seeing the clothes stretch and rip under the pressure. Hehe ^^

Well it would certainly feel a bit overwhelming to have your body rearrange itself! I often wonder how that pressure would feel, especially once ripping free of one’s clothing and relieving that tension

The appeal for me is I find the physical change and loss of humanity fascinating. Reaction to loss of dexterity with a character looking at their new paws or hooves, and more visceral scenes like muzzle growth or body shifting to a quadrupedal stance, or a character losing their human characteristics like hair falling away I find especially appealing.

It's difficult to give any criticism as I feel your art steadily improves with each new upload, but some poses such as the witches' familiar look a little rigid- In that situation I imagine there would be a lot more tension in the muscles and the back would be arching as the body shifts and rearranges.

I would like to perhaps collaborate on colours in future also ^^

Oh goodness do I need to work on muscles. I need to set aside some time and really study them, though I often find myself hesitating to do studies unless I can incorporate them directly into a drawing I’m working on.

A collab is certainly a possibility, I want to color more of my drawings but I’m usually so exhausted by the time I get to that point that I fall short.

What elements are appealing to me in TF art? Well, for the art/drawn side of things, I think my personal favorite would be the expressions. I love the more unwilling sort of TFs (especially lycanthropic, so long as they keep their mind/sense of self), as the character is stuck in a state of "Well, shit, what do I do now?" or something along those lines during and after the TF. That's not to say I don't enjoy a good view of the character's clothes tightening/ripping as their anatomy changes, especially if it's sort of against their will. Though I'm not a fan of painful TFs, I do also like the sort of visual representation of it having "pressure" building, and almost relief as they change and that pressure releases, like stretching out a stiff muscle, that almost blissful feeling.

For TFs in general though, I love when the character has either a choice to live as one or the other, or in lycanthropic style TFs (my absolute favorite), learning to live with the new normal. Sometimes, permanent TFs seem to get lost in the almost depressing "they lost everything, and just have to accept living as an animal/anthro", or the character is left in a state of basically struggling to live life. I'm not a huge fan of that (which is why I'm not the biggest fan of permanent TFs, but can still enjoy them, given the right context). I love when a character becomes a lycanthrope, and sort of has to "accept" the changes, and still manages to thrive in life (finding love, jobs, etc).

For feedback, I'd love to see more "completed" artworks of yours, not just sketches. Sketches are great, don't get me wrong, but the pieces like Unprecedented and At Capacity are some of, in my opinion, the best pieces you've done. I know they take a lot more time though. I'd also love more comics (At Capacity was really well done), and, when time permits, I did enjoy your animation experiments, and wouldn't complain to see a few more of those attempts.

For criticism, I'd say the biggest thing is maybe expressions? The last couple of pieces do have some good expression work, but I think there could be a little bit more of a balance between being completely expressionless animal and humanoid, while still maintaining more anatomical accuracy (without things like drawing enlarged eyes or exaggerated features to make the expression more noticeable, which can easily make the art and characters more cartoony). I can imagine it's a really tough line to find though, and very few artists I've seen even attempt that. Closest I've seen is Sparks's work, but he still does those slightly exaggerated features (which, admittedly, does help his expressions to pop really well).

One of the struggles I’m currently facing is the more human something is, the more expressive it can be, but also that I lack experience with drawing humans. I’m more experienced in drawing animals, though it’s harder to get really impactful expressions while trying to draw them somewhat anatomically correct. My wyvern sequence and recent comic were projects with the goal of drawing things earlier in the transformation so I can force myself to practice those more, and I can only hope to see improvement with time!

As for what I like to see in a tf, I enjoy the steady slow loss of humanity, and the realization that you’re becoming something else. Giving into new instincts is also a bonus. I prefer consensual tfs in that regard, or at least ending up consensual. Tf feels a lot more intimate and personal to me, so just having it happen to someone that doesn’t want it just feels wrong.

As for improvements, I’d say just fine tune your anatomy, both human and animal a little more. I think what you need to improve most is just composition and how you frame a scene

I feel imtimacy is one of my most valued things in transformation. Which, at times, feels like it’s the exact opposite with some of the scenarios I craft, but there’s also so many different layers of what’s happening that I don’t often include because what I’m trying to capture is the thrill of the entire thing. None of my personal pieces have a completely unwilling subject, though they may sometimes appear that way because of the uncertainty and apprehension of the process.

I think TF is most fun when it really plays with the way the changes really warp the anatomy, those midpoints where you can see the form teetering on the middle between the first form and the one emerging are always fun!

I’m glad that you appreciate the reflections of my drawings, a lot of the time I have no idea how many people read/value them. Everything I draw is a journey of its own, one that is never effortless and without struggle. I really like your cat transformations. You try to execute the intermediate steps of the transformation in an anatomically very correct way. The additional stories turn the picture into a total work of art, they complement it extensively and the story is expanded by the picture.

Thanks! I’ve grown surprisingly very fond of big mows as of recently, and there’s likely going to be many more in the future! Especially tigers, they’ve been one of my favorite animals since I was young, but I never really explored them a lot because I didn’t feel like a lot of my personality traits lined up with them. When I was drawing the comic, I forced myself to explore myself as a tiger a bit more and drew some comparisons and it kinda just.. stuck!

For me what's appealing in a transformation piece (being it a story or a drawing) is the process itself. Seeing how the human anatomy shifts to an animalistic shape, with strange, grotesque, but fascinating in-between shapes.
As for what you can improve...I think your art already incredible XD I surely don't have the grounds to critique a drawing, as I'm not an artist myself. As for the stories you write alongside your pictures, well, those are awesome too!
If I had to say just one thing, I guess you could try your hand at more comic-like images (just like the tiger one). I'm sure they're a lot of work, but I can see the potential in them!

What I typically do when approaching transformation is look at the skeletal structure of a human and the animal, find what shape the bones are, then pick something in between. I then build off that and see what it turns into!

I may or may not also have another comic in the works as a side project.

It’s all about the face for me. The part that defines what makes you human, watching that disappear is a point of no return in every TF, the second is when the fear or shock starts to get overthrown by instinct, sinking away as the floor get’s closer and the desires to hunt and keep yourself safe by all means gets stronger!


The only improvement you need is more parts in the TF, maybe a more phases of shots of a particular body part changing.

What makes TF images appealing to me are the facial expressions: they can have wide variance (though usually it seems to be either horror or pleasure :D). The facial expressions, combined with the loss of human features is very fascinating.

I wonder what it may feel like for one’s hands to turn into paws. I feel like the loss of dexterity would be horrifying, and cause some phantom pains of not being able to hold things like before. Luckily a nice long maw would be capable of replacing *some* of the functionalities of those lost thumbs!

I particularly love the muzzle, primal reflexes and paws TF. I really like the idea of losing human consciousness during the TF, and I think you convey this feeling very well in your commissions!

I try to keep things somewhat vague to allow everyone to interpret my drawings as they’d like!

Transformation drawings usually have a story involved before after and in between. The appealing part is the transition, how the characters react and how the bodies shape from one form to another.

So far your stories and art is great. Sometimes you may need to get a challenge doing a different animal than you are used to. If selected, I usually give the artist their favorite. Up for a challenge? I could commission you if you are interested.

I’m currently not taking commissions, though these free sketches are a way for me to potentially try some other animals. I usually stick to what I like to draw and what I’d wish to transform into, but I don’t typically have the motivation to try other animals unless I’m drawing for someone else.

I was first attracted by the fusions during the transformation to serpents or aquatic creatures, like the fusing fingers or legs(no such thing in your gallery, though) and the feeling of the blending stage of humans and animals.
I've seen many of your works with some editing (blurred lines). Maybe this can be improved?

I do have fusing toes and fingers on a lot of my dragon drawings, as for legs and arms, I haven’t uploaded anything where I’ve actually tried those. I did an experimental shark tf, as well as a snake tf but I’m unsure if/ when I’ll upload those.

As for the sketches, they’re often uploaded in those unrefined stages that still have a lot of the fuzziness of using the transform tool. I only refine them during the lineart phase, but it would no longer be a sketch at that point.

Congrats on 1000! You deserve it! I think a lot of what makes a TF great for me is a certain level of viscerality? Being overcome by the physical sensations, emotional complexities, new instincts, etc.
If that can be captured in the art, that's really the sauce that takes it to the peak in my opinion. Body contortion, extreme expressions and reactions, a good sense of movement with things bursting out, a sense of rapid and powerful shifting. I personally am not an artist at all, so I would have absolutely no concept on how to capture those things, but you do it great I think! Always room to improve, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice as to the how since, again, I'm not an artist :P

Not to worry, the direct feedback is optional! The reason why I asked for elements people like in transformation is to see what people like to see and figure out if I can implement that into future art. That in itself is a form of feedback and is greatly appreciated!

Congrats on 1000! My favorite elements in a tf drawing are usually the poses and expressions - a good pose can really make for a fantastic tf (think a giraffe tf with that huge neck lowered down and all four legs splayed out), and the expressions of confusion, shock, or pleasure can be amazing! Of course, I also love certain details, like a big tail bursting out of pants, or hands becoming paws/hooves, or especially the face changing and growing :)

I’m seeing a lot of tail burst comments here, it’s probably an indicator that it’s time for me to try one. The closest I’ve done so far is the aftermath of a tail burst but not the actual of it!

I'm a firm believer in the "American Werewolf" school of TF, so the gritty body horror and agony of the change is what I love to see. It's about the physical and emotional loss that comes with the scenario.

You really lean into intense expression work with characters, and I love that!

For a personal opinion its important in TFs that the mind stays intact, otherwise what would be left to enjoy the change x3
And for the feedback it would be just positive x3, they way you put the characters in daylie routines is so nice to watch like such could happen anytime and anywhere :3

I like the post transformation best, or the transformation is 90% complete. It's cool to watch transformed people whose face says "Whaaaat". I also like it when a person restrains himself in animal form, but gives up and begins to behave mostly like an animal, but with a human mind. I love ftm / mtf, wolves, horses, dragons, foxes and deer. I like family themes-husband, wife, son/daughter. Without or with incest.
P.s. English is not my native language, so I just used a translator. I don't know how much it will convey the essence of the text)

I always feel if I’m going to draw one single drawing, I like to draw later into the transformation because it shows more of the impact of the changes.

Hello! I'm excited to enter! I am a recent watcher, but I've seen a lot of works from you in the past. For one, I think the most difficult part of tf drawing is expressing the last moment of the TF, where you can just barely see the humanity across their entire form — I feel like this is actually where you excel the most! your 'end of tf' moments are stellar, and get stuck in my mind. In contrast, I think you could keep honing in on perfecting earlier parts of tf, where only parts of someone's human form are degraded.

Early tf is so difficult for me because my brain wants to get to the goodies of being an animal already >.> It is something I’ve began working on so hopefully I’ll see more progress soon!

I love dragon or other scaly creature transformations. Seeing the wings, tail, claws, maw and scales develop in a realistic and believable style and giving you another way to interact or experience the world, like being able to fly, is awesome.

For the feedback, I really love your art style, the only thing that I can maybe think of is that sometimes perfect straight lines in the background can distract a bit from the rest of the drawings. Like in nature where stuff is usually not perfect and has imperfections.

Yeah, what often seems to happen with my perfectionism is everything feels like it has to be calculated and precise and that’s not often the case with nature! Though the seemingly randomness of it all is where its beauty comes from and hopefully I can overcome those struggles in the future :3

Thats deffinatly are something , you creat a communtiry arounf your arts and this is awesome ^.^

What i am like in TF is the social part , when the transforming peps are doing this infront of they partner and partner are love this or have in disarray becose of this , but at the end they still love they partner at any new form they are , it`s very neat and beuatifull form of show the devotion to each other and you capture preaty good in your works !

As also i love a leg/arms TF when i see detailing of it and how the person are come trought is and what his reaction are .

But also , i very like a SFW and Antros TF that are about cute neat situation especialy if it happen with a group of friends and such .
So i be suggest to try yourself in the group transformation arts and at same time Antros and SFW TF becose i feel everyone TF artist are can create cumming horse or cow person , but not realy much to make it into a neat piece that you can show to everyone , even friends not from Furry community .
And i think that TF to still evolve and getting more and more favs need to also start trying to be SFW so everyone can try it and stop think that when some talk about TF in Furry community half of peopele are right away think that you are midles cummer or something like this xP
