oh my gosh, this is so awful!
my cat suffered from urolithiasis twice and could have died twice because of his poor immunity, so I understand what it is like to be afraid of losing a friend
if you don't mind, I can give you some recommendations, after which my cat has not had any relapses:
1) an automatic fountain drinker is simply a must-have thing, or buy a huge bowl (the width of a 5-liter bottle). some cats like wide bowls, maybe this will help!
2) I don't know if Purina Urinary is available in your country, but this wet food saved my cat (with medications and hospitalization of the cat, of course). after the hospital I fed him for about half a year with Urinary food
3) if the cat does not drink at all or does not want to eat pills, then I force feed him with a syringe (without a needle) (I let the pill soak in warm water and hold the cat and inject the drug at the same time, it is difficult and unpleasant, but it is better than nothing)

I'm glad to hear your cat has made it through safely. Oscar was my second personal cat, the others were just kinda family cats. But yeah, it was fucking scary. He was screaming ad my sister came into my room to tell me (I was in a call with my friends and had my headset on, so it was very muffled and quiet.) I came out and he was just laying down, so picked him up and he felt somewhat bloated. Then he screamed in my arms and I (gently) set him down and called an emergency vet hospital. I uhh, was driving way faster than I care to admit.

After he got discharged, they recommended me Hill's C/D wet food, which he ate for a little bit, but stopped caring for it it seemed. I just saw him drinking today and I was super happy to see. He never had an issue with the smaller bowls, but the one we have for our cats are rather wide already. He never really cared for the fountain we got. None of the cats we have did. But thank you so much. I've been doing the most i can for him

when i read what you wrote i almost cried. i remember my cat screaming. it's scary, i believe you. about bowls: of course, everything is individual! but in my case the reason was precisely the bowl, my cat didn't like to drink from a small bowl. also my cat sometimes ate chips that were left open (i don't know why he liked them) and it dried out his body a lot. yes, it's so wonderful to watch your cat drink when he's been through so much...

I need to go put and get more of that Hill's C/D tomorrow. See if he still likes it and just lost appetite for that short time. If he still likes it, I'll get more lol
