For those of you curious, the cause is apparently myocardial infarction - AKA heart attack (blood clot elsewhere breaks loose, travels to heart, blocks all blood flow to the area of the heart controlling heartbeat. Heart stops, death comes quickly.)
Important stuff: There's a gofundme for his dogs -- they're being cared for and Karen Garvin is working with some rescue groups to find a good home for them. They've almost met their goal. Please share the link.

Second, he's been cremated and they're in the process of getting some art (as well as the name "Dineegla") put on the vase for his ashes.
***new info*** Edited to add that they've found a very lovely lady who will foster the dogs. She's part of a rescue group. Karen is going to go over to get them prepped for the move to their new home tomorrow.
