My thanks to everyone who attended. I hope that somehow Tug could see how much love there was for him.
There were people taking logs, and I'll post links when they are up. In addition, there are at least two memorial pieces being written about him, for there is much to tell about the man.

Somehow, I felt sure it sounded like you when you helped admin Tug's memorial, and definitely when you responded to me in a whisper immediately after I spoke in memoriam. I felt terribly out of my depth- but being there with everyone, and knowing I was part of the memory-gathering and no-one was there to do any more or less- it showed me the shape of the words I finally chose, if I remained uncertain about the order and final composition.
And what I am, and yet was, is part of the present whole. I wasn't grieving Tugrik as close to the bone or raw to the heart as many of the attendees- but I miss him, and Friday night's gathering fostered a closure that will reduce the loss in my heart, then merited mutual affirmation of what Tug added to the journey we shared together.
Now there's more to do- and I've already chosen that brilliant commission; far from alone am I in the doing and choosing. Big Blue is in my heart now, and we both are happy at that.

...and then saw I logged out in the middle of a conversation that I wanted to eavesdrop on, ho hum. (I did get the whole event, though, if you want a formatted copy--I'd imagine there's a bit of extra stuff like people entering and disconnecting that should be cut but I haven't edited anything)
