Ebon / Ebonhawk / Ebonfire?

When the lion speaks, he roars cause that is what they do...
Okay. No one ever really asked but there was a reason I changed my name. I have never really liked my "furry name". I know it sounds odd till you know that I took the name not out of a feeling that it would be fun or adventurous but to make sure that those on my job that were on the net would not find what I was doing off the clock.
I had been doing that since I first came on line and continued to look for things that others may think were not so ... cool. Like comic books and Gothic info and anime. Yup my first name was Ebonhawk and it was nothing to do with furry. It was another way of saying "Crow" or "Raven". I could not use those names for a bit obvious reasons. In Gothic community of the time I quickly found a ton of Ravens and Crow boys. All so self-consciously dark and brooding. And in comics, there was a very popular character named Raven as well. She was dark and fun but I didn't want to deal with that confusion. So a little bit of Ill iteration was needed. And I became Ebonhawk. I had other 'names' that that was the main one till I got tired of something that happened.
There were three other writers named "Ebonhawk".One was a very nice girl. the other a nice guy. Both were embedded in other subcultures in anime and slash fiction. For a while, I was being found by their fans and the few that cared to find me would find them instead. Something had to be done.
I could have done the 'macho' alpha male thing and told them I had the name first and scram. But that just was not me. It was classier for me to change my name. I took Onyxliger for a while but about 5 years ago I just changed the name to Ebonfire on all my new works. Not that most of them ever see the light of day but that was the deal.
An odd thing is that you sometimes can tell how has known me a long time by the name they use to refer to me. The ones that know me the longest just call me Ebon (a common denominator of my name shifts) even though they rarely know that it was cause I started around Gothic community. Onyx is a common one for those that new me from 1- to 5 years ago. And Ebonfire is common today.
What does this have to do with any one or anything in this webpage?
Not a thing.
But then most will not even bother to read this will they. :)
Happy holidays to you and all of yours no matter what name they claim.

I remember Ebonhawk first from the AF group, but I think I primarily refer to you as Onyx now.

OP
And well you have been around me for most all of it. Though I mostly love it when you are trying to all me anything though ducktape. Thuogh I don't think I ever told anyone about why I changed names and avatars. I am glad you saw it.
