Two important notes for your Security

When the lion speaks, he roars cause that is what they do...
I am sorry that I keep forgetting to note things here. I don't know if it is a good deal that I have not seen anything important to talk about or not. There are two important things to do to keep your browsing safe.
First, Microsoft did not fix it's rarely used MHTML. If you are using a microsoft operating system to see this (and that is at least 90% of you) then you are affected. No mater how old the system. You are targeted. It is being used on the web to get info from your system and do well ... all kinds of things. Mirocsoft has admitted the issue as it relates to information and has issued a notice (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2501696). I can't see how this cant be used to install back doors but just that someone can get your credit card info is enough to me. All that is needed is for you to go to the wrong webpage and you are compromised. This happens because of something I think very few are using but is on by default - MHTML. (Lion roars at the Microsoft engineers - come on guys you are the big target.. focus!) The fix is a registry fix stops the format from being used. You just download the file from this link - go.microsoft.com?linkid=9760419 Then agree and it will stop that web format from being used. (Microsoft did not fit this so I am putting out the warning now.)
Second, it is that time of year to update all your browsers. Chrome will autoupdate so no problem but all the others, check for a update. Also, update iTunes as well. The reason I say this at this time of year is that once a year hackers get together to break the browswers. But they do it in public. So all the bad guys see how to break the browser; you are using right now , if you are not keeping it updated. So update your browser. But you ask why update iTunes. This old dog music player/podcatcher is using part of a webkit for when it goes to Apple's webpage. So update it today. (For the record, I use it too but like Songbird much better. It tells you when the bands in your library are coming to town. )
That is all for now. Happy browsing.
