Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
I wanted to create this journal to sort of reflect back on all I have accomplished in 2024 as a way to just celebrate how far I've come since a year ago when I wrote my last journal like this.
The Good of 2024:
Met a lot of great people, both online and in-person, some of which became friends.
Went to my very first furry convention and met a whole lot of amazing people and also got to meet Buddy, which was a highlight as I remember watching his videos over a decade ago. He was pretty great, meeting online friends in person was pretty great too!
I got my very first Tattoo back in November of 2024, which was a pretty amazing experience, doubly so because it didn't really hurt save for the very start and at the very end.
I managed to get my own office at work having been given a variety of new positions and challenges to tackle, which at first felt like running around with hair on fire, but nailed it after the first few weeks.
Got a good bit of art from a lot of amazing artists and friends out there, which this always amazes me just how many awesome and amazing artists are out there.
Played a lot of great games and managed to finally play Ghost of Tsushima for the first time which I waited a better part of 3-5 years to play for it to finally come over to PC.
I managed to get through some difficult situations with my mental health, which it got pretty bad at one point but thanks to family and friends. Was able to let things flow and I'm still standing.
The Bad of 2024:
A friend and colleague passed away in September due to their battle with cancer. One of the most compassionate, loving, and selfless people I've ever met. Even though they're physically gone, doesn't mean they're still not around through their memory and deeds they left behind.
I ended up being scammed out of a good chunk of money, which thankfully managed to recover from but just goes to show some of life's lessons can pay a high price. In this case literally with money. Heh...
I had to deal with a few toxic people, some of which were people who couldn't understand the word no or I realized too late that they were just using me for one thing or another.
Overall conclusion for 2024:
2024 had some bad but a whole lot of good that happened. Even if at times I didn't always realize things were that good in the moment. They were and just goes to show that each moment you live your life, sometimes to fully understand or know just how good a moment can be, comes down to living in the moment and being able to reflect later on just how great or bad that particular time was. I'm grateful that this last year wasn't as bad as I thought it might've been a year ago from now. Could just be because I'm an optimistic person, or could just be that recognizing and being mindful of what actually is verses what the mind wants to tell us is real from depression, anxiety or dread can help recalibrate things. Just being in that moment and focusing on what's around you, who you're with, and the feelings that moment brings you can do wonders in leaving a lasting memory and impact on how we go back to look at things.
Here's to a great 2025 and to starting off the new year great! Stay safe everyone, be compassionate, and continue being the best you, you can be! ❤️❤️
See you in 2025 everyone! ^-^
