good news, The rewrite is almost finished and is currently 50% bigger than the original. but at the same time, It's also a mix of ambiguity, and a kind of horror i wasn't expecting to write into the story.

All in all, It somehow turned out darker than the original, but ends on a much brighter note. all without completely destroying Claire's character, or turning her into a kind of hail mary sue character. Also with the way I'm planning the ending, It can tie into a proper revenge or comeuppance arc while adding a bit more lore.
speaking of which, This is going to have plenty more information on Claire's flavor of predator syndrome than the OG. Another thing to note is that, due to the nature of the rewrite, and what's going to come after, It felt like the espionage part of the title doesn't fit any more so... NEW TITLE. espionage comes after, but for the sake of consistency, I'm keeping the orginal up, but moving it to my scraps.

Fingers crossed this one turns out much better than the original, though I don't know what tags I can put in it yet.
