The blocking just blurs out the image; you can click on it afterwards if you want to see it anyway.

So, if one wanted, they could click to see it? That would be an okay thing.

Yeah, it shows up blurred in your notification/search results, then remains blurred when you go to its actual gallery page, and finally clears up if you click directly on it there.

blocking thing was odd to me at first, so far look works ok I haven't run into the scenario

I wish it also counted specific artists, and instead of blurring blocked posts they just wouldn't show up, but hey, we're making our way up.

But the option to block specific accounts has always been available… unless I’m misunderstanding something.

I mean like blocking posts those accounts post. Like for example; if someone blocked me, they would still be able to see my artwork, etc in search
Or better yet, if I have someone blocked, I wouldn't want them being able to look at my works

I mostly mention this because unfortunately, I see some rather.. awful stuff tied in with my searches that have nothing to do with what I'm searching, all because of tag abusers

That's entirely fair hahah- When my niche is as obscure as bubbles and balloons, it's all I really do, just to see if ANYTHING is new

It feels very lackluster. Like a 'Urgh, fine, have your tag blocks.'...but sloppily done.

I think you've probably figured it out by now, but I'll summarize. If a submission has any of the tags that you've blocked, like the word 'dick', the whole image is blurred. But you can click on the image to see it anyways.
This applies to all art that you're looking at while browsing, and if you click on the submission, the tag that you've blocked will be red colored so that you know why it was blurred.

Check "Customize My User Profile > User Profile and Profile Information" to see all tags you've blocked. There's even an option to blur submissions that have no tags, going after the lazy ones not wanting to do any labeling.

And you can undo any blocking you do easily. It's only on your side of the computer.
