Corngrats! I ditched the place over a decade ago for different, but equally sleazy, reasons. Be sure to ditch any other Meta accounts you have as soon as you can.

I admit I find less of interest there. But I don't see any particular reason to leave.

Zuck pretty much caved in to curry favor with Trump. Bezos has done pretty much the same thing, so I'm ditching Amazon too. These people need us more than we need them, so I'm resigning in protest.

I avoid Amazon not because of Bezos' politics but because of their union-busting and their horrible treatment of workers

As for Facebook, yes, it's run by an obnoxious billionaire, but then so is just about every other social media platform on the Internet. I don't see how exiling myself to a service with a fraction of the user base is going to hurt Zuckerberg in any meaningful way. If anything, my presence on FB costs him resources while I regularly it to criticize him and the people he supports.

I guess that's the difference between you and me. I care not for an online existence or presence at all via social media. And I'm not telling people what to do, only what I did. I wouldn't cry if FA dissapeared from my life either.

I find some platforms useful for promoting my work and interacting with other artists. And I'm finding more traction on other sites these days. So I also wouldn't shed too many tears if FA suddenly disappeared.
