I quit my job on Monday.

I don't make personal journals on any regular basis; especially about specific and heavy things, but this has been a massive, albeit unwanted change in my life. But I just couldn't take it anymore. 3 years of always showing up on time, working my hardest, working holidays and weekends even when I didn't want to... Just to be thanked with constant criticism and scrutiny without any guidance to help me succeed to their standards.
We changed general managers last summer, and I think at some point in the last couple months she suddenly decided I wasn't good enough, and I think she may have secretly wanted me gone. Despite the constant comments on what I was/wasn't doing, I was still training people, which feels like it shouldn't add up if I'm so 'bad' at my job. Well you got it. Have fun covering the gaping hole in my hours that I'm leaving behind, since I was the only full-time kitchen employee on that shift.
Nonetheless, I've had nothing but an outpour of support from family and friends (irl and internet) alike, so it's probably safe to say I made the difficult, but right choice for myself. Money won't be an issue thankfully, I have plenty in my savings to float on while I find a new normal.
But yeah. Oh well I guess.

ik this isn't a concern, but with my newfound free time for a few more days, I can finally start getting real progress on my half of the trade :D
