A poor stray cat in our neighborhood that my bro named Cheeto has a nasty wound behind his right ear. It bled a lot, so with help from a neighbor we put some disinfectant on the area and some bleedstop. We also fed him, and for his safety placed him in a pet cage (provided by said neighbor) with a cushion, some water, a litter box, and a blanket covering three sides outside the door of other neighbors who are known to care for cats. We checked on him earlier, and thankfully the bleeding appears to have stopped. Within the next 12 hours, a vet or shelter should be able to see him and he should be able to get treatment.

Update: Little guy's doing better. Neighbor thinks he got bit by a dog.
