Been a hot minute, hasn’t it? And by ‘hot minute’, I do mean to say ‘a ridiculously long absence’. I figured that a proper message was in need after dropping my new story yesterday.
First things first… Thank you. All of you. Thank you for your patience with me, and for those that reached out with kind words of support. I come back after my absence to find that no only are all of you still here, but more have joined you in following me!
This really did help with my decision to come back now, although I won’t lie and say it was easy. My world was turned upside down last year and I hit a low that I didn’t think I’d ever reach again. For a while I just couldn’t bring myself to even attempt to find any joy in my life… I was scared that it would be pulled away from me again, and I just couldn’t go through that.
But after just surviving, I found the help that I needed to start bringing myself back to life again. While I can’t say that things won’t go sideways again, I started 2025 with some fresh perspectives and expectations. The road I’m on is still winding, but I am feeling like myself once again.
So what’s next for me? There’s been a lot that I missed, and for those I’m watching you’ll probably see me going through a good six months of your work and reacting to it. And in the meantime, I’m feeling the creative itch and the words are flowing once more, meaning I’m back in my happy space.
But I am starting from zero, and I have other responsibilities, so I’m playing it safe. Right now, I plan on working solid until about the Summertime, then take a break to deal with more personal stuff. During the next few months I’ll be:
- Finding my feet: working on some smaller ideas for single stories to get myself back in business
- Looking for more stable paid work involving writing, which may or may not include commissions. More news on this to follow.
- Trying for more participation in my socials, be a part of the community more. I have a Bluesky which I highly encourage you all to follow (And ditch that shitshow that is Xitter!)
This year is gonna be tough on a lot of us, for a lot of reasons. I appreciate that you’re all still here with me, and it’s my promise to you to make the wait worthwhile. I look forward to working with some of you in the near future, and stay tuned for the next kinky story!
