Check In 1/24/25

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☽༓・*˚⁺‧ So I was thinking it might be a good time to check in and continue to check in until I can't.
This journal is going to act as a check in page that I will comment on at least once a week. If I stop commenting.. well that'll be your notice.
I don't know what will happen. So I'll just do what I can.
I'll see you in the comments. <3
PS: You comment anything hateful, you'll be blocked/reported and deleted. I don't have the energy to fight anyone. Just don't.

New round of "What did I do last week" emails hit today. RIF plans in 3 stages are to be submitted no later than 03-13-25. Administration is trying everything they can to reduce staff across the government.
Please be advised, 30% reduction in our department alone will end up causing a substantial delay in return processing for individuals across the country. Please file if you are able!
The Reduction in Force emails and a learning course that takes an hour to go through, explains how we are all grouped and then put in subgroups and our positions become competitive. Kicker, they didn't make this mandatory. It was buried in their email only. Everyone is just walking around right now clueless they'll be gone in a few months.
My perm status went in for 1 day. I logged in Sun night and it was updated finally! I was elated because it may buy me time. But I logged in today and it was back to full time seasonal.
Which means, someone was trying to do the right thing and someone else told them no. I'll keep checking but that only gives me 2 options.
I'll have to do the math but the ITM(learning course) basically explains, if you know your job status well enough and you meet this type of criteria, you'll x,y, or z. It gives an answer key roadmap and I'm fairly certain I'll be on the chopping block. I either take this buyout and hope I get paid, and leave after May 15th, or I sit and wait and get booted out on MO unemployment, which is one of the lowest in the country.
I feel empty and full of bees all at the same time.
Been a min since I checked in. Trudging through somehow. Getting scared though. If anyone still checks this, I could use some resources for best entry into Canada without a US boarder office side. Trying to decide if moving up north first would be better or not. v_v
