I heard a few times that some were saying (Forgot who, the courts?) to dont even worry about the emails beacause muskrat doesnt (at least he's NOT SUPPOSED TO) have any decision making power regarding jobs. Though I guess some agencies are telling staff to reply to them anyway?

It's been a mess across the board. That's what I've heard as well. Some departments and agencies are rolling over and others are holding ground in various ways. On a lot of things going on right now, including the probationary employees.

I'm never going to forgive the idiots who voted these bastards in.

Not an American here, but our firm had a similar "What did I do last week" reports. I personally was safe, since I told them: I worked. At my computer. Recording and processing data. And if I don't do my job, NOBODY gets paid. (secretary/office worker) My workflow is recorded digitally, and my output can be verified by the Webmaster. That's what I do. I do work.
I was also fine, since the report was taken by a boss, who is a known slacker, so he didn't gave me a hard time.

Sad to see, that people's job is on the line, if their replies aren't received well, or worse it's just a reason to let go some unwanted elements.
