D-Day plus seven years…
Seven years on, and to me, the events of Douchebag Day (and my existential crisis that followed) must now seem like a particularly bad dream. Why the significance, you might ask? Because that was the fateful day that my life as a furry was forever changed and my confidence in the fandom temporarily shattered after being brought to the edge and pushed too far by the COMPLETE AND UTTER ARROGANCE of the meanest, nastiest, and most damnably depraved douchebag on the entire World Wide Web (who, for obvious reasons, I won’t refer to by name here).
It all started on this day, January 30th, 2018, on He-Who-I-Won’t-Name’s Patreon, when I made an otherwise-honest mistake one too many times. To me, there is no CRIMINAL act of pure cowardice more insulting or infuriating on the internet than blocking. What he did and said to me that day all but FLOUTED my number-one rule: “NEVER be a schnook to the Rook. To do so is to incur my wrath.” Simply put, he FUCKED with the wrong furry, and in doing so, opened the floodgates for the all-consuming TSUNAMI of my wrath, filling me with a nigh-unquenchable resolve, for with each and every action, there is both an equal and opposite reaction, and more often than not, actions speak louder than words.
What did I EVER do to him, except appreciate him for all the art he does? And this was how he treated me? LIKE A PIECE OF HUMAN TRASH?! He said and still says that I turned on him, but HE turned on ME. He turned on everything I stand for as a furry. I followed him purely in the spirit of fandom. Appreciated him, honored him, obeyed him, and trusted him, just like everyone else, and he severely betrayed that trust, violated my biggest rule, and blocked me. Although he so STUBBORNLY denies it to this day, he is, on every conceivable count, GUILTY. His utter lack of empathy is entirely palpable. He is without so much as an ounce of decency in that misshapen body of his. There are absolutely no words that can describe just how depraved and despicable his actions were to me, but no justice system in this world can actually sentence him to what he deserves for CALLOUSLY ostracizing me and forcing me to declare war on him, only for me to realize just how much of a COWARD he truly is, and to me, such cowardice only heaps shame on the furry fandom. I wish for nothing but shame on him, for he is unjust, unfair, and a HIDEOUS monstrosity that deserves no sympathy whatsoever. He had NO RIGHT to treat me the way he did! To treat me like SHIT!
Anyway, the internet war of words that followed raged like unrelenting hellfire across various websites for about half of 2018 until I wisely quit the field in July, having come to understand that Douchey McDouchebag was a FUBAR situation from the start. However, his greatest failure, though try as he did, was his inability to have me pulled out of this site from the roots, and very much like a weed, I’ve managed a comeback. Sure, his insolence tore me asunder, but from this traumatic experience, I did learn an important lesson the hard way: Some furries are far too toxic, while others are just plain soulless, but at the same time, the only good furries in the fandom are those that are compassionate, merciful and tolerant (everything he isn’t) enough to be both able and willing to listen to reason. These include, but are not limited to, the admins of this site, and for that, I’m eternally thankful.
