Rare political journal. But I thought it should be said since its actually very awful:
As a federal grant worker, I have no idea when I will be paid again after the freezing of the NIH and NSF. (sorry no commissions for a while)
There's protests in every US state capital.
The world's richest man is just unconstitutionally dismantling government organizations and hacking personal data of most private US citizens at the treasury,
the OPM federal worker lists have been leaked due to servers Elon's stooges used which have exposed the data of all federal employees.
Doctors are being convicted of felony charges for oking abortion pills,
Trans people are being erased from most civil society,
Gay marriage is being challenged.
MLK era civil rights reforms are being repealed,
Random people are being detained unconstitutionally in ICE raids against broad targets,
Deported immigrants are being sent to Salvador sweatshop prisons to serve as slave labour,
GITMO is being repurposed to house thousands of immigrants where they will not be protected by the constitution.
Our president has threatened to invade 4 countries, and is strongarming our closest allies with tariffs that would devastate the economy.
Said same president is now threatening to genocide the entirety of the Gaza strip.
He also commanded the army corp of engineers to waste billions of gallons of water in the American west seemingly just to spite California during a serious drought.
Finally... most of these are blatantly unconstitutional (much of this should be congress's job) and democrats are sitting there not doing anything.
I can't help but watch as my adopted home burns down around me, led by some south-african nepo baby with an army of stooges who want to speedrun us into a failed state. Aided by a crybaby boomer who made his fortune scamming people at every opportunity and firing people on television.

Theres some light at the end of the tunnel though, there has finally been a series of lawsuits filed to counter everything that's happening, its to be seen what happens.

Yes, let me keep my politics to myself when my life is literally being torn apart, I can no longer pay my rent, my quality of life is objectively worse.
I’m not even that left wing, what they are doing is completely unconstitutional regardless of right or left. And the obsession with just blaming everything on minorities is unfactual and unscientific.
Go and shit on your high seat, not everyone has the priveledge of not having to give a shit about politics. Idiotic name calling is what led to this entire mess in the first place. The fact that you cannot at all empathize and immediately shutdown shows you are immature and not serious about your political beliefs.
But yeah... Watching from a distance, all of this BS is just awful... I really hope that stuff will get better and that the people in power will pay their price of ruining an entire country.
The situation seems very volatile, so hopefully something happens that disrupts their dismantling of competent governance. Though this is probably over optimistic.
Also, if it makes you feel better, I did NOT vote for Trump. Plus, go watch Kyle Kulinski on Secular Talk. He talks about the voter suppression in our country, and if it weren’t for that, then perhaps Trump would’ve lost this election.

I have the privilege of european citizenship, but I know some others dont have as many options.
I fear for what things'll look like 4 years from now, if his presidency even ends by then. Fortunately he's old, so maybe he'll just croak.
(I don't pay much attention to the news (or pop culture) anymore. This is one reason why.)
